We spent two days with Etienne and Paperboat Charters in December 2021. Etienne is a wonderful captain, and we had an outstanding time.

On our first day Etienne took us to Creole Rock, Grand Case, Happy Bay and Friar's Bay. We had several swimming and snorkeling stops. He gave us a great history of the island. The boat is very comfortable, and Etienne navigated us well around a few sun showers.

We stopped for lunch at Pinel. Etienne snagged the last table for us by calling Karibuni early.

After Pinel, we motored through Orient Bay and over to Tintamarre to look for turtles and to walk on the pretty beach. We had a wonderful happy hour and were back at the dock at 5pm.

A long, full, wonderful day was had by all!

Our second full day was spent going toward the Dutch side. We went into Marigot harbor and past lovely yachts and homes. We passed Nettle Bay and Baie Rouge. We stopped for a fantastic swim in the blue, blue waters of Baie Longue. Etienne climbed a cliff with my husband and showed him where to jump.

We motored over to Mullet. Etienne gave us dry bags and we swam into Da Waterhole for a terrific lunch. We watched the planes land at Maho and then cruised past mega-yachts. We took a wonderful sojourn into Simpson Bay lagoon to see even more yachts. It was amazing.

We crossed under the bridge and were back on the French side. We saw Lover's Beach and stopped for another snorkel. Happy hour began again!

Etienne, his boat and the waters and cocktails he offered were just the best. Our two days on the boat were our two most memorable on St. Marin. We highly recommend this charter company. Book directly with them on their website!

Wonderful day exploring Anguilla! Captain JC is the best!! He was extremely knowledgeable and took us to all the best places around the island. Great snorkeling, swimming and relaxing. The boat was beautiful and the service even better. We highly recommend for any private charters in Anguilla and St Martin.

Elliott took us and another couple out for the day on his beautiful 35 foot boat. It was comfortable, stylish, and stocked with a variety of drinks for us to enjoy all day. Elliott was well versed in the area and super friendly and accommodating. We really enjoyed spending our day with him!

In terms of our trip, we booked 8 hours. We stopped at few places before making the longer trip over to Saint Barths. Elliott was knowledgable and ensured he knew the perfect spot to snorkel and swim with sea turtles at SB. Sure enough, as soon as we got to that cove, we saw many sea turtles and it was an awesome experience. Once we were done, Elliott took us over to NikkiBeach for lunch and set up a dry landing for us from the restaurant. Highly recommend doing this!! Food and drinks were all fabulous!

We are so happy we decided to do this and can't stop talking about how awesome of a day it was. We are already planning our return! Thank you again, Elliott!!

The boat Captain Etienne was very friendly and informative about St. Maarten. He gave us 5 star service and we did not have to lift a finger. He took us to Pinnel Island to a great restaurant Yellow Beach. The lobster was amazing as were all the other items we had. The fish dishes were all great. Etienne provided lots of suggestions on places to go and visit while in St. Maarten.

We spent an amazing half-day on the water around St. Martin with Captain Etienne! The boat was clean, the beverages plentiful and the views spectacular. Etienne was an amazing captain, exceptional tour guide and just a terrific person. We snorkeled, swam and took in some amazingly beautiful beaches around the island. There were eight of us in our private party, and we fit perfectly on the boat. If you want to take in St. Martin from the water, this is your tour!! We highly recommend it!

This is a great way of seeing the islands of St. Martin/St Maarten and Anguilla. We met Elliot at 9:00 am and we discussed what we wanted to see and do. He totally tailored the time to what our interests were.

He has a lot of interesting tales to tell about the island which was fun to hear.

The boat was very clean and comfortable.

I would highly recommend taking this tour with Elliot.

This was an awesome way to get away from the crowds of St. Maarten. Elliot was a great communicator every time I contacted him, which was a lot. The boat holds ten but I did not want more than eight people, and I am glad I did.
Captain Elliot suggested things to do but it was still up to us what we wanted to do. There was plenty to drink for all of us, and some were drinking rum at 0930 when we stepped onto the boat. The beaches were just gorgeous. Some of the beaches looked like images from Greece but just not on a hill.

Here are a couple of reviews of the people that I did not know, but joined me for this excursion that I booked.

Thank you Ginny Egbert Luxton for planning our Awesome day trip to Anguilla.

It was such a terrific experience, so enjoyed it. Thank you Ginny!

We decided to do a touristy thing on our last day, I am so happy we chose this cruise! We were a little unsure about what to expect but we arrived at the dock, the boat came at exactly the time we were told and we boarded. The boat is sufficient for 10 people, the cheese was fresh, we had the choice of red, white, or rose wine. We cruised at a comfortable clip from Grand Case to Marigot then back to Creole Rock to see sun drop below the horizon. It was breathtaking, Elliot is a gracious host and the boat is very nice and clean.
We highly recommend an outing with Paperboat charter, if I had known how much I would enjoy this time I would have booked his full day tour or one of his other choices. You must get out on the water to really know the island. This is a great way to start.

Hi Diane, Thank you for your review, it's always nice to get a feedback on our tours. We are glad that you enjoyed the "wine & cheese sunset" with PAPER BOAT CHARTER. We decided to keep our cruises for only ten peoples to make sure that everyone get confortable. Seeing Saint-martin/sint maarten from the water is the best way to discover all the "out of the track" places. Thank you again, and Happy new Year. Paper Boat Charter wish you all the best. Captain Elliot.

I would like to start by saying: Etienne, the captain, was absolutely amazing. He had the unfortunate task of informing us upon arrival, that we could not go to Anguilla. However, he made my birthday experience much better by taking us to see Tantammare, Pinel Island, Maho to see the planes land, and a few other places! We got to see sea turtles, snorkel, and he had an open bar with the best dang rose’ I had on the island! The day ended up being super fun and I appreciate Etienne as it did not start off that way.. but he did what he could to salvage my experience.

Why the one star? I did my own research about getting to Anguilla prior to my arrival so I knew it was tough and there were restrictions. I used trip advisor to contact the trip operator and ask the specific instructions and items necessary to get into Anguilla. The communication regarding this was subpar. I was informed, on Friday, to send the materials Saturday. No time, no instructions, just send via email. So we got covid tests on the island and I sent the materials. However, I was informed upon arrival, that we would not be going to anguilla because our materials sent via email could not be read.

I spoke to the owner and asked why that wasn’t communicated prior to, as that could’ve been resent. He then stated that I didn’t send it in time to be sent to his contact on Anguilla. I asked why he didn’t inform me of the process or a deadline so I could ensure these things took place. He continued to blame me, never apologized for the lack of communication shown, and I have the receipts of my attempts to obtain details. I was under the impression that I needed to bring the hard copies of my materials, in which I had on board, and we would show this upon entrance to anguilla. That was not the case. It is super frustrating to try to obtain information with minimal communication, and then be yelled at and blamed for an issue that could’ve been resolved.. had he just reached out or provided adequate context up front. All in all: if you want to go to anguilla, know you need copies of your passport, covid cards, and negative covid test 24 h before. Send it to the email on file early, and you should be good to go.

I expected to be talked to with respect and empathy but that did not happen. I would travel with Etienne in a heartbeat bit I am not happy about the way the company handles the tours.
