Good kit but chaotic organisation and admin
Jun 2021 • Friends
Booked via kayaks in Spain who then sub-contract to Rogles (although not communicated). Made at least 6 calls in beforehand trying to get confirmation on important details (arrival time, kayak type, camping details, pick up), but vague and inaccurate responses (I speak fluent Spanish).
Similar experience when we arrived, briefing was confused and inaccurate. The guide did not know the details of our booking (thought it was 2 day not 3 day trip) so didn't bring the correct maps. Advised us to call HQ to check-in from certain location but there was no mobile coverage!
Kayaks were good but we booked sit-ins and the provided sit-ins. No paddle leases - useful in fast flowing river. Maps were mediocre at best.
Rang several times to confirm pickup but they kept trying to change times and locations which was an unncesary stress. Then they finally charged us an extra €40s for the pickup.
We really enjoyed the trip but Rogles poor organisation added stress that took the edge off it.

Great overall trip, with a true sense of accomplishment at the end
Aug 2020
Highly recommended! We did the 3 day trip from Flix and finished in Tortosa. The trip itself was well organised, and Raul and Judith were both very proactive and helpful throughout the whole trip to make sure that everything ran smoothly. In total we covered about 75KM and camped in two different locations along the way with guidance as to where to stay. The only reason I did not give 5 stars, would be that the camping could be a bit better organised. Staying at a site with facilities would make thoe whole trip more comfrtable, especially after kayaking for 5-6hrs +. Regardless, I would still do it again :) Thanks guys for a great trip!!

Via Ferrata, Montsant. Super experience!
Oct 2019 • Couples
We booked a guided via ferrata at La Morera de Montsant and it was worth every penny and more! Our guide Alex was clearly experienced in climbing and was very friendly and patient - also very interesting to talk to about all topics, from climbing and mountaineering to spanish politics and the status of Catalunya.
Would highly recommend to anybody with a taste for adventure :)

Amazing family Kayak + Cycling trip
Jul 2019
We did 2 great family day trips with Rogles during our recent family holiday to Salou. 1st a cycle along the Greenway disused railway track which had fantastic views through the mountains and stunning scenery all along the route including numerous tunnels along the way. Raul and the team drop you at the start point with the bikes/helmets and after a quick guide on the route you a free to head off at leisure and meet the van at the end point after about 3 hours, where you will be returned to your car. The bikes were all in great condition and the track you cycle along is well maintained and downhill all the way :-) Along the route there are some great stopping points including Bot where at the old station there is a converted carriage which serves much needed snacks and drinks, and a lovely stream to have a paddle when the going gets too hot. We finished the trip at Benifallet station where there is also a cafe.
The 2nd trip was Kayak on the river Ebro from Móra to Miravet. Here you will meet the team and the Kayak's at the river in Mora where you will start slowing paddling downstream towards the destination on Miravet. Beautiful scenery along route with the destination at Miravet having some smalls cafes to refresh before you are taken back to your cars.
All in all a couple of great days out with the communications from the Rogles team perfect to ensure you know where and when to meet the guides.
For anyone holidaying in the Costa Daurada area you would need a car to get the the tour stating points which for our trips was about a 40 minute drive into the hills from Salou.
Highly recommended.

Fantastic day - kayak and vineyard
Jun 2019 • Friends
We had a fantastic day - nine of us meandering down the river to the vineyard.

Raul is so friendly, relaxed and spoke great English!

The scenery is absolutely beautiful, the river is calm and surprisingly warm - We stopped and had a swim about half way.

When we arrived at the vineyard we were welcomed by a gorgeous family, they gave us a wonderful tour, a plentiful tasting ;) and some home cooked snack/lunch. After they invited us to join the family at their onsite home, enjoying a dip in the pool which was much needed in the 40degree heat!

Thank you Roul and Alba and family

Río Ebro family trip
May 2019 • Family
We took a canoe and a single-person kayak with our 10-year old son and 13-year old daughter, both experienced at canoeing from prior multi-day river trips. We also took our German Shepherd on her second river trip.

The trip was awesome and the river is pretty swift from Flix down to Miravet where we camped on the river bank the first night. We spoke with the restaurant owner near where we hoped to camp and she said it was no problem. The castle at Miravet is really impressive and not to be missed & for history lovers I would allow a couple of hours at least to hike up and check this out. Going through the locks was pretty neat and Rogles Aventura gave a really interesting orientation the night before we got on the river giving us the history of the Rio Ebro and the impact on the river geology from the dams. The Flix area has an interesting history and is between two very popular wine regions including Priorat. We cut our trip short by one day as our son was not feeling well, so we took out at Xerta, which seems to be very popular for fishing.

3 day kayak trip down the Ebro river
Oct 2017 • Friends
I went on the three day, two night self guided kayak trip down the Ebro River starting from Flix. This was a really fantastic experience, my friends and I thoroughly enjoyed the trip from start to finish. Raul was very helpful, he gave us a good briefing and made himself available on watsapp before we departed. The scenery is amazing particularly in the first two days. Miravet is an amazing town to arrive at via kayak and camp at. Id recommend this business to everyone, it was very good value for money. Thanks! 😀

From Flix to the Med
Aug 2017 • Family
This was quite a challenge for 3 families with limited experience. There were 8 kids between 10 and 16 years old and 6 adults. We had a selection of single and double kayaks. Rogles were very helpful from the beginning sorting all our accommodation and coming to see us at the hotel the night before we started. They gave us maps and hotel details and stayed in contact throughout on a WhatsApp Group. They were very helpful and I could not recommend them highly enough. They even sorted out a problem we had with a lost bag which arrived 2 days later by courier.

We also met a lovely man called Angel (very apt) who had by chance booked the same trip and with whom we became friends. He helped when our limited Spanish let us down.

The descent itself was beautiful. The river was virtually empty especially in the upper sections and the scenery was gorgeous. The hotels varied with the Hotel in Deltebre being the best whilst the Tortosa stop was a bit run down. Mirarvet was lovely but we couldn't all stay in the same place and the displaced family had hotel envy.

This is more than a casual drift down the mountain. On day 2 we started at 9:30 am and didn't finish until about 8 pm. We had a 2 hour stop for lunch and we had to wait to get over the lock but it was still a long time in a kayak.

However if you like a challenge and enjoy kayaking this is for you. It cant be that difficult as our 14 year old kids did it without complaint. We all finished on the beach pleased with ourselves and adamant that we would do something similar next year.

Go do it before the tourists arrive.

Mora to Miravet
Aug 2017 • Family
We booked as a part of 12 and I would have rated this apart from two issues - The first: They ran out of single kayaks and tried to make our 21 year old son travel in a kayak with three adults. We got this sorted but it did start us of on the wrong foot. The second, after the trip - there was only room in the van for the drivers to be returned to Mora to pick up their cars - with all our dry clothes etc were left at the original location it meant those left behind had to wait around wet and tired for their clothes to arrive. All that said, it is a great trip with great views. You do not need to be experienced for this one - and you will love it.

Kayaking - Flix to the Mediterranean
Apr 2015 • Friends
Brilliant experience from day 1.
Raul our contact, organiser and co-owner of Rogles was excellent, from advice on the river, booking lovely hotels and rural houses & keeping in contact to advise our agenda and make sure we had made it to our expected destinations…..nothing was too much trouble.
The kayaking was different everyday, beautiful varied scenery, following the river through and stopping at lovely medieval and traditional Spanish villages, sampling the wines, olives and Tapas at every opportunity.
Even the Hotels and Rural Houses were great, again each one was different and had their own charm and surprises, Raul again giving advice on each individual stopover …….we recommend Felix's Rural House in Miravet, borrow one of his bicycles and make the 4km trip into Miravet and climb to the ancient castle, sample the views and then sample the local beer in the bar at the bottom….overlooking the River Ebre.
It was almost a shame when we made it to the Med and realised that our tour had ended……make the final trip across the bay to L'Ampolla, spend a night there and sample the food at El Pescadore overlooking the small marina and the Mediterranean.
