These men came in boats from across the North Atlantic to fight and many of them died on their first day! To say that this is a fitting monument is absurd however it is beautifully kept and is therefore respectful

A simple, very well maintained monument and a peaceful place to walk around and remember (and try to imagine) the devastation that occurred here. The Canada Gate, which I believe is a recent addition, was also quite interesting, with an identical arch in Halifax, Nova...More

Not much to see, no grave stones no trenches, the scars of war long gone. In a strange way its perfect. You stand there and remember the horrors and think was it really here?

Its a very tranquil and peaceful place, a simple tribute to the brave soldiers from Canada who gave their lives. The Canada gate just outside the main memorial along with the footprints in the wood planks, speaks such volumes. There is also a nearby memorial...More

what site isn't moving, it did bring home to me how many Canadian service men died in the war, something we all forget, all commonwealth countries sent there men to help fight
