One of the many cemeteries in the area, which strikes home all the horrors of battle which took place during these four grim years.

As part of my battlefields pilgrimage in honour of my granfather, visited this demetery in addition to Tyne Cot, ypres and passchendaele on the weekend of Armistice 100 11/11/2018. Altogether a very emotional time. What can you say about these things?

It's easy to miss this cemetery on the way to Passchendaele village. But we visited to pay respect to a fallen family member. We attended his gravesite, one of the identified soldiers killed in the 3rd battle of Passchendaele. The care and respect was obvious...More

Not as good as Tyne Cot Museum in my opinion. But if you have the time, it is worth ducking in to pay your respects.

While Polygon Wood next door and the Battle Memorial to the 5th(?) Australian Infantry Division are hugely significant to Australian visitors, for we New Zealanders the names of the 378 of our countrymen commemorated here are particularly poignant, all men with no known graves. Like...More

Beautifully kept cemetery and butte. Peacefully situated by Polygon Wood. Well worth a visit. Access to view the monument on the butte via steps (I couldn't see any wheelchair access).

We visited here to find the grave of J Condon the youngest serving soldier of the 1st World War who was killed on 24 May 1915 at the age of 14 years. It is a big cemetery but one of the gardeners interrupted his break...More

If you are in the area then this is worth a quick stop. Zonnebeke has an amazing museum about Passchendaele and this is the opportunity so to see some of the graves of the soldiers who fought in this battle. About a 15 minute stop.

We came across this when we were looking for the museum, no reception area making this a quieter place giving time to reflect in solitude - we had the cemetery to ourselves
