Jokulsarlon Glacial Lagoon is truly unbelievable. We took the boat duck tour which was well worth the time - approx. 30 - 40 minutes or so. You don't get extremely close to the icebergs, but you certainly get a better view of them than you...More

Our first stop was Jökulsárlón Iceberg Lagoon, which is just amazing to behold. This was definitely one of those places I could've lingered for hours just taking photos and wandering the beach. It was raining when we first got there, but it thankfully stopped when...More

It seemed overbooked to me but so many people want to experience it, what can you do... You just need to maintain a narrow focus and shut out the crowd and distractions. Including your picture taking! But I wouldn’t miss it for anything. As an...More

The glacial lagoon is beautiful and breathtaking! We were there the end of August. We also saw seals swimming around the lagoon💕🇮🇸!

Highlight of my trip in Iceland, and definitely one of the best spot I've ever seen. This place is magical and so peaceful. The icebergs are impressive, and stunning with the sun reflection on sunset time. On the other side, you can walk on the...More

We drove a nine and a half hour round trip to visit Jökulsárlón, Glacier lagoon, and it was worth every minute and every mile. Yes, you can see the ice bergs in the lagoon from the shore, but to sail amongst them is magical. Book...More

This is the only place in Iceland where we were freezing. The wind in December was very cold and strong. Watch your door when stepping out of your car because the wind will tear it off, not kidding! However, the place is free to park...More

Very impressive. For me, it was the highlight of our tour. There are many parking spaces around the lagoon and it is possible to make scenic flights. The different colors of the ice as well as the fauna were amazing.

I can spend hours here just looking at the scenery. We started from Hali which was about 15 mins away. Got here around 8:30 am. I am big on avoiding crowds and loud obnoxious people around nature. Nature is best enjoyed alone or people who...More

Magical place right next to the ring road. Lots of small icebergs in a lagoon plus tiny icebergs you can touch and hold. Quite a lot of people around but it still didn’t spoil it. A truly magical place with mountains and a glacier as...More

We went in August so completely different but we loved the place without going on a boat trip. Just looking at it all from the shore was good enough and totally amazing.

We self drove Iceland and it was easy. Plus the daylight is still long enough that you can visit the best locations off hours and be free of the crowd
