What a beautiful spot! This lagoon is constantly changing with icebergs breaking off the glaciers, entering the lagoon then heading off to sea. We were lucky enough to see seals when we visited in September. There are two parking lots, one on either side of...More

Amazing, stunning and surreal and yes well worth the trip. Of course we saw lots of other fabulous sights along the way but this was the highlight. We didn't do the boat as we saw the ice up front and close and there were loads...More

It's worth the drive I'm telling you. The lagoon is so stunning and boat tour is highly recommended. I did the smaller/faster boat tour, very well worth the extra $$$. We saw couple seals in the water. We also heard iceberg cracking (sounds like Thunder)...More

Well worth the stop, even if you don't pay to go out on a boat. Plenty to see from shore, with just a small walk from the (free) parking area to the water side. Look for seals that play in the water near the beach....More

Best company to go with by far is 'Ice Lagoon Iceland'. The workers there are fantastic! My boyfriend and I were 10 minutes late for out pre booked tour due to bad weather conditions for driving in and the girls that day working there were...More

Anyone who leaves anything less than 5 stars must really be unhappy, because this place is like heaven on Earth. I had seen a photo of Jökulsárlón and that's all it took to get me planning an Iceland trip. Once I saw it with my...More

We did both. The jeep tour was much longer, but I'd have to say the uniqueness of the glacier lagoon was the decider for me. We went on zodiac so could get closer etc. If larger boat, more people, (big amphibious... More
