The hotel receptionists and the taxi driver all gave us the same amazed look when we said that we were planning a walk in to Playa Coll Baix. Family with teenagers, sporty and relatively fit. None the less, "Crazy tourists! Why not just take the boat?". We got a taxi to Mal Pas, and not disheartened and with some trepidation,... More

I have decided to go on a solo trip, just to relax my mind. I stayed in Iberostar Alcudia Park and the friendly hotel crew have suggested this beach, and I decided to walk to it. I walked all the way from hotel (I am a trained hiker) it took me 2 hours and 20 minutes to arrive. There is... More

This beach was one of the most looked forward to parts of the trip and when we got there it did not disappoint. However, the route of hiking into this beach is not for everyone. From our hotel in Port d'alcudia google maps said this was a 8km (roughly 2 hour) walk. Being very fit and active, we were excited... More

Last year we traveled there by Boat on an excursion, we had a really great time snorkling here. I wish we had more time to have stayed at this extremely isolated and romantic cala beach setting.

A bit of a hike to get to, but the views and water are well worth the trip! It is a natural beach, so the sand is course (a mix of small stones and sand), but the water is crystal clear.

Coll Baix is the best beach I have ever been to! This is mainly because it is located in an isolated area where the last 500m can only be accessed by foot - hiking and climbing over the rocks. Of course, if you rent a boat, you can anchor in the bay. Secondly it has a spectacular views during the... More

Hard to find the path to get down to the beach, however there are people every now and again going there so we followed and found maybe the most beautiful beach we have even seen. The waters are just crazily turquoise-azure colour and perfectly clean. Of course the 40 minute walking/climbing makes it hard to access for most of the... More

ok, we were not well informed about the "hiking part" of the way so we reached the path to go down with flip-flops, mini fridge and things on our hands. Challenging but however we wanted to swim in the turquoise water of the photos and we kept going. What an unpleasant surprise the beach: plastic bottles all over the sand,... More

This beach is THE most fabulous I have ever been to. We can't decide if it felt so amazing because of the quiet, unspoilt nature of it, whether the crystal clear water and lovely setting were the reason, or the fact that we EARNED the right to relax after the, frankly, tortuous journey to access it. We found out about... More
