About
If you're visiting the old town of Alcudia, don't miss the weekly morning market. Support local farmers and immerse yourself in the area's culture—you'll find vendors selling not just fresh produce, but also souvenirs, local wines, and sweet treats like bunuelos (Mallorcan donuts) and ensaimadas (sweet spiral pastries). Visit during the summer months when the market expands to occupy a large part of the town's historic center, making it one of the largest markets in Mallorca. On market days, tours of the old town of Alcudia will typically make a stop here. – Tripadvisor

    Old town market Alcudia
We loved the huge market, the atmosphere was buzzing, it had everything from shoes to food just great. Soo clean n tidy and once you’re done it’s up the steps to the top of the boundary walls to the walk way which overlooks everything. Then cross the road and after a short walk your onto the beach absolutely amazing. We loved it.

    Good half day shopping
A big market with a lot of local flavour. Some great fresh food but mainly clothing. Plenty of refreshment opportunities on the way around. Was a 20 min flat walk from Port Alcudia, but a good bus service.

To be fair Alcudia is nice to visit it has beach long strand of beach and lots of little spots of Beaches if you want to be on a
Every year the market set up change. Even if you see familiar faces of vendor its ambiance is always different. There are some stalls that are over priced and some remain reasonable. Of course there are items that you can only found in Alcudia. There are some restaurants to go for lunch but some of them also doesn't want to let you sit down for just a coffee of even beer. If you go alone make sure to bring water with you so you will survive until you'll find a restaurant or refreshment shop. I still didn't find that place that is very welcoming and treating you as a person not as treating you with just having money.

    Traditional markets has everything!
This market literllay has everything. Have to admit it is really crowded but its still enjoyable. Can even visit the castle walls at the same time which is free. Streets are full with stalls and bars and the atmosphere is just great.

    Very busy but very good!
Market is on twice a week and definitely worth a trip. It can be a little overwhelming as it is so busy and full of people but there is so much variety and great value. There is also high ends shops located around the market and it’s situated within the old town and on a castle wall ruin which you can walk up. Although if you’re not a fan of heights or have a child that’s a runner I would recommend appreciating from ground level.

    Well worth a visit
Well worth a walk around. As with all markets across Spain you’ll find some tat and knock off stuff but between that there is lots of local produce, fresh fruit and vegetables, and friendly local people selling their items. It gets busy so arriving early is advised.

Visited here twice, the first time we went mid morning and went by taxi both ways, which was easier as we left mid afternoon and we missed the busiest time.
The second time we went earlier which was fine going, but trying to get back to Puerto Alcudia was a nightmare as there were so many people doing the same, we couldn't get a taxi and the queue for the bus was huge we had a long wait.
The market is very good and lots of different stalls, but always try and barter for a better price.

Visited 29th May. 2 x adults and a 6 year old. Very hot day so child flagging a little bit but easy to break up the visit by walking around the old walls / having lunch in one of the many restaurants & cafes.
Beautiful old town with lots of lovely side streets . Lots of stalls, some selling the same things.
We read the reviews before going including the negative reviews. We actually thought about cancelling the trip after reading them but glad we didn’t. We had a lovely experience and would definitely recommend.
Top tips: we were aware that there are pick pockets so put money in a bum bag and hidden in bra just incase! Carried other items in a bag.
We haggled most prices if we thought the item was massively overpriced.

My partner and I went to the Alcudia market on Tuesday morning after hearing about it from the hotel staff and holiday reps. The market is on in the old town on Sunday and Tuesday mornings from around 8am-1:30pm. It is around a 40 minute walk from the new town or a 10 minute taxi ride (which cost us around 8/9€. The market has lots and lots of stalls selling clothing, food and fresh fruit, handbags, jewellery, plans and flowers and more. You can get some bargains if you barter but a lot of it, especially the clothes and jewellery, are overpriced and can be bought cheaper from the shops on the strip. Overall it is a nice, wholesome atmosphere, where you feel relaxed and content. It is expensive and there wasn’t anything of interest to us. We are glad we visited but wouldn’t go again.

The market was mostly tat. We would have preferred to visit the old town not on market day, in hindsight, to avoid the crowds and the busy bus journeys. Everything at the market you can buy at the beach shops. They mainly charge high prices for low quality items. The old town was nice and there are a few nice shops, plus the old wall.

Be sure to get to the market early in the morning. The prices of clothing at the beginning of the market isn't that cheap. The quality isn't that good either, but look into the more expensive shops and you will find beautiful clothes. But - when it comes to food items and other things, leather for example, you can get bargains! There are also a lot of small coffe places that serves nice cakes, ice cream and restaurants with nice food. You can easily spend half a day there. Look out for pick-pockets and people that are getting to close to you wanting you to buy something "small" for 10 cents or something like that. The only thing they want is to get close to your wallet!

Overpriced and chaotic! Couldn’t get on the bus to get there so we walked along the beach.
Bought a small punnet of strawberries, one of figs and one tomatoes - €18! Total rip off.
Joined a bus queue to get back and it was a mess.
People joining queue from the wrong end, bus drivers pulling up in the wrong spot so people at the front couldn’t get on.
Absolute mare of a day!

We tried to come to the market on the Sunday morning, however realised that we left it too late and the buses were too busy to get on!
Taking this into account we decided to go before the market even started on the Tuesday morning. We got a taxi into the old town at around 8:30am and it was the best thing we did!

I cannot recommend getting to the old town market early enough! We got to walk the streets and get some lovely photos with no one else around.
We were then able to walk around the stalls once they were set up around 9am. The streets got really really busy so I’m really glad we were here early!

Some of the stalls were just fake designer goods however there were a few which had lovely handmade goods.

I would recommend coming here when visiting Alcudia as something to do, however 100% try and arrive before the market starts!

A good day out and a great way to experience the local culture. Old town is very pretty and it gets really busy when market is on (tuesday and sunday). It’s worth going if you are near old town but wouldnt travel far as most sell the same things and the prices are quite high - you have to haggle! Can get most of the things in local tourist shops

Ok as a market, selling the usual tourist stuff. Head down to the bottom of the old town, as that’s where the main run of stall are. Towards the church at the top, just a few. It’s hot in there so head in by 08.30 although some stalls will be setting up, many are open. If the weathers not too hot take a stroll on the ramparts around the town.
