You absolutely need a head for heights to get to the former bunker complex, but the path itself is not very strenuous. After the rock gate, the chains provide support. But after that, it goes very, very steeply uphill, and at the end it's almost just climbing. It's extremely strenuous (at least if you're not that young anymore) until you reach the famous cannon. And you have to go back down again...
But sensational views, all in all a great hike!

This is a truly beautiful walk on a small path along the coastline that offers many spectacular views. Sometimes mountain goats will give you company. The end point offers a short climb and will leave you bewildered as to how people ever managed to heave that huge canon up to the peak of the mountain.

Not too hard of a trip. Only about 100 meters inclination to the view point and an other 70 to the canon.
Big clifs on one side. Not sutable if you are very afraid of hights.
The view is outstanding. Close too 360 degrees view from the canon.

Is it still possible to do the hiking from Ermita de la Victoria to Penya Rotja?
