We had a great night at a very safely organised beer and cheese pairing evening. The beer was quality and the cheese from Forest Deli in Coleford was delicious. I would highly recommend the brewery events and beers!

I bought my son a 'pub at Home ' from Hillside Brewery to help him celebrate his 2nd lockdown birthday at home and it was brilliant! The beer especially went down very well. The box contained a 5L keg of beer, a bottle of wine, 2 beer glasses, a couple of packets of crisps, a pack of playing cards and a spotify playlist. Great present, speedy delivery.

I have visited twice now and always been made very welcome by Paul and the team.
It is a great venue for a corporate event or just a big party.
I can highly recommend both the venue and the beer.

Treated my dad and father in law to a tour of the Hillside Brewery for their Christmas present. We had a cracking afternoon. John, our host, gave a us a great potted history of beer in their amazing events space, along with a very generous amount of their beer to taste along the way, as well as a tour through the production process to get a sense of how it's all made. A great day out, and a super place to have any kind of away day, party or night out (they have regular open mike nights and quiz nights!).

This in an excellent experience seeing how the beer is brewed . The owner really has passion for what he does and explains it all in so much detail. You also get to taste a wide range of different beers. This is also a good venue to book events set in beautiful country side. Well worth as visit I will keep coming back to stock up

Visited with friends and had a superb tour, sampling excellent ales. A superb family run business using quality ingredients to produce superb beer. Beautiful, picturesque surroundings and host Paul is a genuine star who enjoyed a few beers with us afterwards. Highly recommended.

We had an amazing day, the brewery is set in beautiful surroundings and our son loved the fields and views! Staff were very welcoming and a good range of drinks available. We spent the afternoon in a delightful hot-tub taking in the amazing scenery!

Highly recommended!
Attended for the afternoon guided tour with my girlfriend who does NOT like beer.
We arrived early and Paul the joint owner made us feel very welcome and we didn't feel like we were causing an inconvenience for him.
There were 6 other people for the afternoon tour and it was very informal and relaxed atmosphere. Paul was knowledgeable and happy to be interrupted with questions and not stick to a rigid presentation. My girlfriend was even finding the subject interesting and taking part in guessing the smells of the hops and malts (even won a free bottle of beer for me)
During the afternoon we were sampling the goods and I must say they make some excellent beers! The whole location is beautiful, even on a rainy day as it was.
Thanks for a good afternoon.

I attended a very fun evening last Friday night where the brewery had around 40 guests across 6 tables. We were given six of the brewery's showcase beers and six courses of delightful local food to accompany. The in-house Sommeilier introduced each beer and helped us understand what we were eating and how they contrasted or complemented.
I got the impression that all involved were very enthusiastic about what they did, and the beer was top notch. I really hope this great local brewery goes on from strength to strength. I'm not sure if the event I went to was a one-off or not but you can be sure whatever they are doing it will be good.

Is the brewery open to visitors on an ad hoc basis without taking a tour?
Does it have a shop or bar on site?
Written March 28, 2015
We have a shop on site where you can buy our beer and a range of other local products. If you want to enjoy a beer - its only bottled ales.
