been there many times over fourty years, almost timeless beauty spot unchanged by current upheavals in england and its landscape. always rewarding to have a pint or two at the glasshouse on the walk back.
My husband & I have just spent 4 nights at Lavender Cottage which is situated at May Hill Farm near the top of May Hill. It is a fantastic location and base from which to explore the area on foot or by horse.

It will probably take you 20-25 minutes to get from car park at bottom to the trees if you walk steadily. First bit slightly steep but if you are in good health it shouldn’t be a problem and is well worth it.
