Bongo baths is a lovely sulfur bath embedded in a very pretty tropical garden. My SO and I were lucky enough to have the whole bath for ourselves and it was the most relaxing experience ever. Helen - one of the owners even brought us a very good rum punch while we were enjoying the bath. We went to another bath on another day, but dont bother, this one is the real deal and very beautifully located. Pro tip: You can find out the arrival days of cruise ships in dominica online. This pretty much affects all attractions that are easily accessible near roseau - just avoid them when a ship is present and plan your days around them. It will be crowded as hell and spoil the experience and the same place will be empty the next day.

Helen, a welcoming hostess is the force behind this lovely and thoroughly enjoyable spot off the beaten path. A tropical paradise.

We visited this place via our cruise ship. It’s about a 30 minute ride from the port. Beautiful rain forest setting. There about 6 pools, all with cement bottoms so no special shoes needed. Some pools are warmer than others and the cold pools are quite refreshing. You are warmly greeted by the owner. Plan on about 30 minutes in the water. I did not notice any “sulpher” smell. Clean!!

An excursion to the Bongo Baths was offered by our cruise. Very scenic trip up into the misty mountains on narrow winding - sometimes very rough - roads to get there. Located in the heart of the rainforest, the Baths are thermal pools heated by mountain geothermal springs. We were warmly welcomed by Helen, one of the owners of the Baths. There are changing rooms, 2 bathrooms, and about 6 pools of varying temperatures, including very hot ones and colder ones. There is also a very cold pool with a waterfall, if you are brave enough. About halfway through our hour’s visit, they brought us slices of bananas, coconut and grapefruit all grown on the premises, a very nice touch. We also received a fruit punch, available with or without rum before we left. Helen told us they drain and clean the pools every 3 days. Very peaceful plus the benefits of soaking in the sulfur springs. Definitely recommend it.

Did a celebrity excursion including Titou Gorge and the hot baths. The Bongo Baths are at the end of the tour. Multiple bath areas with various temperatures. Changing rooms and bathrooms on site. Hot baths were very relaxing
