About
Kopitovic family settled in the village of Donji Brceli in Crmnica in the 15th century. We have a long history of grapevine cultivation, especially types like Vranac and Kratosija. Vineyards are situated in ideal altitude above the sea level exposed to the sun during many days of the year. Old cellar is part of our winery and is over 300 years old. Also we built new degustation room in authentic style.

Best wine tasting in Montenegro

My favorite winery in Montenegro by far. When we arrived Zarko (winery owner) welcomed us in the best possible way, warm room thanks to fire lit in the fireplace, bruschetta and Montenegrin plate which consisted of local products only (including lots of them from his farmstead itself). We tried 3 sorts of wines along with food and it was a harmony of tastes. Each wine is its own world, but bound together by story of the family and village. 5 star experience in every possible way.

Unparalleled hospitality and great wine

Enjoyed a truly exceptional wine-tasting experience at Vinarija Kopitović in the Crmnica region in the south of Montenegro, in the basin of Skadar Lake. Winemaker Žarko Kopitović's family settled in the village of Donji Brčeli in the 15th century and since ancient times has been cultivating vines and making wine. His unparalleled hospitality included a fire in the hearth when we arrived, a visit to the old cellar, cats and dogs to pet if you like, amazing wines with fascinating stories and symbolism behind each, history of his family (lots of strong women!), tons of laughter and delicious food he made himself!

I booked a day trip for a boat ride on Skadar Lake and a wine tasing at a local vineyard. Vinarija Kopitovic was amazing! This is a family fun winery that shows a bit of family love in each of their wines. They have delicious white and red wines and introduced me to their first Rosé which ended up being my favorite. I was greeted by one of the daughters, mother and father and shown such hospitality with a spread of cheeses, prosciutto, bruschetta, olives, sausage and home made bread. It was truly an authentic and warming visit. I highly recommend this as a stop if you are in Podgorica and enjoy wine.

Absolutely wonderful family winery, and excellent wines.

We met Ana and Jelena Kopitovic and they gave us a superb degustation of three of their wines along with a platter of canapés.

So much heart and soul goes into their wines. Viticulture, vinification, blending, and marketing are expertly done by the whole family.

And we loved their wine.

Be sure to stop by or better yet call ahead and reserve your spot in their lovely tasting room. Highly recommended.

I would absolutely recommend a visit to this vineyard. Outstanding wine (shout out to the Scepan Mali wine) and great food. Could not fault the hospitality and clean toilets!

Best wine tasting around lake skadar

We got this one recommended And it was better then we expected. They take all the time to explain everything. We choose a lunch And wine tasting And got a plate full of wonderful homemade food like all kinds of cheese, sausages, bruschetta, olives etc. And the wine is very very good. The family is really lovely And warm And there is a lot of love And passion in the winery. Definitally recommend it, we stayed more then 3 hours :)

Friendly owners, good wine and lovely setting

This is a small, family-run winery close to Virpazar that is worth a visit. The family has been producing wine for commercial purposes since 2006 and are mostly specialized in red wine.

We had a lovely time tasting 3 of their wines and grappa, while listening to the interesting stories behind their production.

The tasting was accompanied by different types of cheese, ham, sausage and tomato bruschetta, in enough quantity for us to have lunch! This costed 17€ per person, which I thought was a very reasonable price. I definitely recommend a visit if you are a wine enthusiast!

Me and my friend Ida hade a great time time visiting your beautiful place in june. The vineyard is set in a stunning place and your family is so nice! The wine and food was very tasty and we so much enjoyed talking to you. We highly recomend a visit!
