Great day
Sep 2019
Off the beaten track. We drove there and had a great day. Little local restaurants make you feel at home, incredible boat trips to visit the lake (you can even swim) and everything soo relaxing. Has an interesting statue at the bridge. At the end of the day stop but he supermarket and get something for the return trip home.

Adorable small town on the lake
Oct 2019 • Solo
Virpazar is a small, but adorable town on the shore of Lake Skadar.
That's also where most boat tours of the lake start.

Stone bridge
Sep 2019 • Couples
The old stone bridge leads into the small town and there is a memorial to the fallen of the region during the uprising against the Nazis in World War 2.
There are a number of aggressive hawkers before you cross the bridge who try to sell you their tat and are best avoided.

A wonderful trip
Sep 2019
This is the perfect place for an outing. It's especially nice dining in one of the local restaurants. It looked like Venice to me. I suggest visiting in September when the crowd is less.

Virpazar
Aug 2019 • Family
Virpazar is a beautiful town slightly spoilt by the aggressive salesmen when you arrive in town who try to get you to park in different places so you will buy their boat trip. Follow parking signs.
Kayaking and boat trips all brilliant,Lake Skadar is stunning.

Great Kayaking trip from here
Aug 2019 • Family
The bridge is picturesque and the main feature. Around it are a couple of cafe bars and a few reasonably priced souvenir stalls. Arriving early in the day makes parking easier as it’s quite small and congested.
We had pre booked a kayaking tour with UndiscoveredMontenegro a UK registered company. Communication was good via email, we paid online and arranged a meeting point and time. We couldn’t fault the 5 hour tour where we paddled out to the lake, past the prison island to a secluded beach for lunch.
Other reviewers mentioned aggressive nature of people selling tours. We didn’t find them aggressive. If you want a boat trip I reckon there are plenty to pick from at the bridge and you can probably don’t need to pre book, but for a kayaking tour you do. A great trip and a change from the sea/beach.
Sadly we do not see any pelicans but I reckon if you went on a specific boat ride you might do!

Too agresive
Aug 2019 • Couples
The people will stop you on every 10 meters to ask you for the boat trips. Its anoying. Everyone seams to be 'tourist information'. There is no parking.

Old town with castle and old bridge is a starting point for lake boat trips and good starting point to discover lake Skadar region.

Simple & Central
Oct 2018 • Family
A small, simple and unexceptional bridge in the centre of Virpazar crossing the Skadar lake canal and linking the town centre with the monument to the partisans and heroes of WW2, which stands at the far end of the old bridge. Surrounded by boats eager to take visitors on trips onto Lake Skadar.

Adds to the charm
Sep 2018 • Couples
If you visit Virpazar you will see the bridge, it is quaint and adds to the charm of the village. You can get some nice photos of the lake, boats and Virpazar from the bridge.
