We stopped off on our way out of town. Our host at the B&B in Dieppe told us this was a place we needed to see. Our GPS landed us at the church. We had been expecting to arrive in the town, but this was SO much better.

The views of the Alabaster Coast were stunning. The church itself is quite beautiful and a bit unique as far as churches go. We were lucky enough to be there when choir practice was taking place.

All you need is 30 minutes or so. I am so grateful our GPS took us to the wrong spot!

The church is small but you can feel an intimacy on entering. Its' decorations are simple but in good condition and you can notice that people make an effort for the upkeep of church and the cemetery for sailors.
The view over the beach and the sea is beautiful.

With its own car park at the end of the road, the church sits on top of the cliffs and has an amazing view out to sea. Inside the church is a window by Braque. I'd go there just to see this. He is buried in the churchyard and his tomb has an interesting mosaic, which reminded me of Matisse.

The grave of Braque has just been restored and there us a Braque window inside. Roussel, the composer, is also buried here. The church overlooks the sea.

Perched on the edge of a cliff overlooking the sea, this church has a strong feeling of maritime history.

Visited here with a mixed group of French and British members of Twinning Association. A convivial lunch in Dieppe, was later combined with a visit to Le Bois de Moutiers (Lutyens - Jekyll landscaped gardens) and this delightful church. The whole scene with superb cliff-top views, interesting names on gravestones to the Braque, 'Tree of Jesse' stained glass window, inside the church, was a fitting finale to a very enjoyable day.

A beautiful location looking over the English Channel. The Church is a jewel well maintained with interest magnified by Braque's stained glass window and Michel Ciry's paintings.

The location of this church atop the cliff overlooking the huge Plage de Pourville-sur-Mer is amazing; Georges Braque is buried here, and there are various signboards explaining the link of this particular spot with various impressionist painters. Take a careful walk down the cliff and onto the beach at low tide for a fabulous access to this beach, but beware of the tide, which comes in fast!
