Driving in and out of Stroud, we passed across the Common. Great place to walk, stretch your legs and enjoy the views. And it even has an icecream parlour!

Great walk across the common and hot chocolate stop. 4/5 score as there does seem to be ever more dog poo about!

I used to walk my dog here a lot, was a bit sad that so many do not pick up after their dogs. But a lovely view, and very nice early in the morn, or at sunset.

This is an area where skylarks and orchids abound and there are fantastic views in all directions. Children can play in the old quarries and on the slopes - avoiding cow pats in the summer months. Nearby wonderful ice creams can be enjoyed at Winstones...More

Cattle and sheep have right of way - as they should. Not only is the common lovely and there appears to have been a hill fort here - but also the views are stunning

Stunning views, great open space for walking and of course free ranging cattle. We drove through 8n the rain, but hope to be back to walk ourselves. What's not to love?
