Naiharn beach is a gorgeous beach for swimming and hanging out in lounge chairs. For 200 baht you can rent a pair of loungers and an umbrella but you have to get there early for the good spots, preferably before 9:30 am during peak season.
You can buy fruit and snacks nearby for what is probably an inflated price but it's convenient for sure.
Remember to pack your sunscreen and plenty of water. The water can be calm but also remember to look at the colour of the flag on the beach to make sure you're a skilled enough swimmer to manage it.
There is a nice lagoon area for children on the left side of the beach.

It was a beautiful, clear beach for swimming and relaxing, and not too many water craft active near swimmers. When we went, there were a few clear jellyfish in the water that would occasionally give a little sting, which was a bit of a surprise but these weren't near the breaking waves if you just want to paddle. You can hire a kayak from the surf patrol people (when they are there) for 200 baht per hour. The hottest part of the day was midday-4pm, and there are trees off the beach that you can get shade in during this time.

We visited Nai Harn beach in 2013 on way to Promthep cape to see the infamous sunset. Our taxi driver recommended this beach and we tanked him for this.

We were told that this used to be nude beach until few years back (huh!). beach gets tides, so good for tide lovers, but has red flags as back current is not very safe at these spots. Me and son though enjoyed every tide. Since it is located far off and access required taxi, there wasnt too much of rush. Sand is soft and hardly any rocks under water!

some of the hotels looked nice to us (we were staying on Patong) and may be in one of the future trips, will stay on these isolated spots.

Beautiful beach - the best on Phuket. Soft sands and clear waters. Early morning when it's quiet is magical, while the sunsets are also stunning (but busier!). Definitely worth the trip if on Phuket.

Nai Harn beach is a calm and not crowded beach in Phuket Island which is located south of Kata Noi and north of Promthep Cape, this beach holds a very amazing lagoon that is surrounded by a broad paved sidewalks and a nice lovely temple is located at the other side. The sidewalk is a very nice place for walking and jogging. Because of the long distance from the touristy parts of the island, Nai Harn beach is a good choice for swimming alone far from the people. If you want to be far from the busy and noisy districts , this district would be a perfect place for accommodation.

We found this beach while staying at the Serenity Resort and Residences and it was absolutely beautiful. We went two days in a row and had a great time. We got there early but unfortunately all the beach chair were reserved. We were able to rent an umbrella for 100 baht and there was plenty of food as well as bathrooms available nearby. While we enjoyed the views, the beach can get a bit crowded however this is plenty of space for everyone.

I love Nai Harn beach!
It’s my favorite beach in Phuket, it is a very long beach , you can chose either to lay on the sand or to stay on the private beach that offers sun-beds and has a small bar ( it was so nice to drink a coconut and relax).
The water is clean, clear and the sand is soft.
Even in high season the beach is not too crowded.
The lake before arriving to the beach is lovely and there is a temple on the side that makes the atmosphere amazing.
I go there every year!

Nai Harn Beach was a Great place to spend a few hours swimming, snorkeling, and relaxing. You can rent 2 beach chairs with umbrella for 200 Thb (a necessity if you don’t have your own shade). There are opportunities to rent SUPs and Kayaks. Lifeguards are on duty. Snorkeling isn’t anything special but fun for kids and an opportunity to see some basic fish. There are some drink bars and massage opportunities as well. The sand is fine, soft and hot in the sun.

We had visited Nai Harn Beach during our sightseeing in Phuket. We had booked private car through Klook for full day sightseeing and this beach and the adjacent Buddha temple was part of our itenary. This is a beautiful beach with blue sea and yellow sand. The beach was crowded with tourists swimming, sunbathing or relaxing in the beach chairs. We had simple lunch in one of the small restaurants near the beach.

Excellent beach at southern end of Phuket. Pure white sand and crystal clear water. Great beach for kids. Couple of resorts close by for lunch, local trinket shops and produce available as well as massages etc. lovely big trees sit above beach if it gets to hot for you. Only downside is that it can get a bit overrun at times. Very enjoyable experience
