Must see location for Marajó. Absolutely lovely deserted, clean, sandy beach. Came on a Sunday and not much going on. Water very warm without the customary salty smell or feel, an advantage coming with a sweet water beach. Hammocks, beach huts and restaurants. Infrastructure fully available to spend a day by the beach. Looking at the river with nothing but water at the horizon you don't think you'd be at a river bank. Stunning place.

A very wide sandy beach a fairly short drive from Soure with a handful of beach restaurants. There were less than ten people on the beach while we were there. At low tide it’s about 200m across the sand to the water which is shallow so it’s not great for swimming but still very unspoilt. We had a good lunch (fish, prawns, beer) under straw umbrellas with hammocks.

Although we are really beCh-lovers, we liked this beach. Also because it has some nice barracas on stilts, making the best use of the fresh wind. The restaurants along the beach each have their barracas painted in the color of the restaurant, and they bring you drinks and food. The fish we ordered took a while to prepare, but was worth the wait.

The most popular beach. On a weekday it was quiet but is said to be crouded and loud at weekends. Nice shade and hammoks to relax in. Some of the beach restaurants have wifi and might even accept credit cards. Food was ok.
