If you visit Lijiang then a visit to Snow Mountain is essential. From the carpark you are driven in a shuttle bus then you catch the cable car up with stunning views and then walk through the maize of shops before you pop out almost at the top of the mountain. There is a large viewing deck with stunning views.... More

Beautiful scenery and lovely backdrop of the Snow Mountain, even when it is not winter time. Do make sure you watch the performances by the natives as they are really good and professional. I did not go in winter so it is kinda sad to not have some snow experiences. Nonetheless, regardless of the seasons, do make an effort to... More

Cannot leave Lijiang without visiting here. The mountain is very high. When I arrived, it was very amazing with the white view. All snow in everywhere. Have fun there !!!!!

The park, although necessarily busy with tourists, is spectacular. We spent 4 hours walking along the 4 lakes, separated by waterfalls. Even on a cloudy day with some showers it was well worth it, although we didnot see much of he mountain tops (and did not take the tram up there). We preferred walking over taking the (well organized) trams,... More

Pros: very nice glacier park & blue moon valley Cons: the atmosphere is ruined by the hoards of tourist, plus a 4 hour Q after the entrance. if u are not into any climbing (and therefore will not be able to make it to the top from the cable car terminal), dont bother going u will only see tourists. budget... Travel up the gondola above the treeline to 4506m and then you can hike up the stairs into the glacier. Quite an experience. When you get short of breath, slow down or stop, breath in thru your nose and out thru your mouth. Oxygen puffer cans available for sale and not a bad idea at that altitude.

We rented a taxi from the hotel for one day. She dropped us of at the bus station. We didn't go for the highest top. No need to see snow. We went to one of the meadows. We also skipped the show. First of all, it costs money to go there and it costs money for every attraction. So be... More

When I arrived at Kunming on 30 Mar this year, the airport shuttle bus tour guide discouraged us from going to Yulong Snow Mountain as she said that at this time of the season, there would not be any snow up at Yulong Mountain. Do not trust this airport shuttle bus guide. My journey up Yulong Mountain confirmed that there... More
