The only way in is through a guarded barrier. Wonderful first impression for those concerned about their safety. Lifeguards disappear at 530pm, but they still charge the full "parking fee" (wink wink) until 559 PM. Entry is free after 6pm. The "lady" at the barrier...More

Macqueripe Beach is not like most beaches. You have to walk down many steps with your food and drinks, swim and then trek back up the steps to the car park.
