Just recently went here with friend. We took at taxi from our hotel in Pleiku (about 30 min drive) and the driver was nice enough to wait for us to bring us back after our hike.
It was quite a hot day and we lucked out because it would not have been possible or advisable to come here and hike up to the top in rainy weather. The mud alone would make it impossible to walk the footpaths up the hills to the top.
This inactive volcano has 3 craters now covered by vegetation. Excellent pictures can be taken from everywhere. We saw some locals farming on the top (don't recall what crop). The surrounding land is so beautiful. Green and brown and beautiful.

The volcano relics were 30km away from Pleiku. On the way, we really enjoyed the natural scenery with the ethnic minority villages and children who had friendly smiles on their faces. The volcano had been transformed into the fields where farmers planting vegetables. The scene from the top of the mountain was beautiful and enjoyable! Please be careful while walking to the top, as it was very steep!

The best part about the volcano was the drive there! You drive through a little village with a lot of smiling faces. If you haven't been to a rural area yet that alone would make the trip worth it. The volcano itself isn't that impressive. Climb to the top (use the path, we made our own way up and it was really hard) the view from the top is pretty and you definitely see a lot of cows! I had a good time visiting the volcano and would recommend it if you have time.

Great place to get out into villages nature.

Tourism is coming: a new road and parking lot have been built. But we still had the places ourselves. Behind the volcano you can find the facade of a bombed church. A special place between the rubber trees.

One could visit by car, motorbike or bicycle. From the ring house front of the mountain turn left and continue past the parking lot on a dirt road to the church. Keep right circle the volcano for great views.

If you got enough the view of the lake, try this one. Not so far from the city, you will find this place is another kind of experience. You need to get through a small village of ethic people along the way and you can do even do a quick trekking to the center of the volcano.

You should probably visit this place, the volcano is fantastic. It requires a little bit of effort to get there from Pleiku since the road to this place is small and not very clear instruction, ao you will rely on Maps on your smartphone. And when you get there, find the Rong house and keep right, after 1-2 minutes, the trail going up is also the villagers walk way to their field. What a pity, since I didn't know there is an old bombed church closed by. Any way, visit this place is fantastic
