We visited these Amazing tunnels on Weds the 3rd of July 2019.It costs for two people about 16 pounds or 17.50 euros including a guide but he only spoke in Polish.They gave us a guidebook written in English.The tunnels stretch for upto about 50 miles but on this tour you only see maybe a mile.If you didnt have a guide you could get lost! Very cool and eerie down here and you get issued with a bright torch.Wear sensible footwear and even in summer take a jumper or jacket down with you! You get very cool down here as you are a long way underground.Built by German engineers these tunnels still mostly have rail tracks in them and the walls have lots of graffiti on them.Theres no free public access down here now.Its also home to many bats although we didnt see any.Theres toilets and a basic shop with some refreshments above the tunnels and a free car park but theres no toilets or shop below surface.Take care and if you take children down here keep them with you at all times as four people have died down here in falls etc since 1987.One young victim was a scout girl.Think theres cycling tours down here and bat visits too.
