- ell33Cardiff, United Kingdom181 contributionsStunning beachAbsolutely stunning beach and so quiet compared to Kamala beach just down (up) the road. Beautiful white soft sand and crystal blue water, we had a great time there. Plenty of food stalls the length of the beach too with plenty of options and much cheaper than Kamala.Visited November 2023Traveled with familyWritten November 8, 2023
- Michaela MKarlovy Vary, Czech Republic116 contributionsNothing special in the off-seasonDuring the low season the beach does not correspond to the beautiful photos at all, there is garbage and dirt everywhere, syringes and glass lying on the ground. There are lots of stalls and shops. Also, the waves are pretty big. But the sea is clear and the view is beautiful, the rocky stretch has its own charm. The beach is quiet and there is a large parking lot nearby.Visited July 2024Traveled as a coupleWritten August 3, 2024
- brestwa h6 contributionsWonderul beach spot!🌟 Had an amazing time at Surin Beach! The snorkeling was top-notch with vibrant coral reefs teeming with marine life. Paddle boarding was a highlight, gliding over the clear waters. The beach time was perfect, with soft sands and stunning views. A must-visit for anyone looking for a mix of adventure and relaxation! 🏝️🐠Visited August 2024Traveled with friendsWritten August 7, 2024

It was the 9th time that I visited Phuket. I went to surrin Beach, the bill was 340. 00 T. B I gave to the lady 1000 baht note and in one second she dissapeard the 1000 note and she said that I gave her 100 baht! I show her the receipt that I had just changed my euros to TB and it's 1000 TB. are missing and she said bla bla bla and I lost 640 TB! And she didn't even ask me to pay my bill of 340 TB! So she just turned around and she went to her kiosk that she cooks the food etc. And in koh lanta they charged me 385.00 TB /10.00 euros for 3 eggs and 3 pieces of bread! And I looked the menu and they had the English breakfast 130 baht!! (3.30 €) So, when I complained about the triple price of charge they gave me 100 baht back. I think that Thailand has changed a lot after covid. They try to get at once the money that they lost these two years of covid. It's a shame.

visit Surin beach today .lovely stretch of white sand.but have to agree with some of the other reviews .to many sunbeds and deckchairs lining up the whole stretch. not a very nice look. because most of them past there use the date .all dirty .and rotten not working properly. on a plus side, the fruit juice stands and food stands are superb.i had 12 big BBQ shrimps with a bottle of water for 320 THb and later a mixed fruit shake for 60 THb.I enjoyed a half day at this beach

Very beautiful but small beach. Like most of the beaches on the west coast, the back of the beach is lined with tall pine trees and a beautiful shady path that can get you to one side of the beach or the other. The beach itself has very soft white sand, but like most of the other beaches in Phuket, there is quite a bit of trash at the high tide line. The beach slopes fairly steeply into the water. Wading is ok, but I swam in the water, and there is a strong rip current that wants to take you out. I am a strong swimmer, but definitely don’t let young kids in the water, as the beach is exposed to the open ocean. There are a few little areas with umbrellas and chairs that you can rent for a minimal price. We went to Aubrey and the people were very friendly and would go out of their way to make you feel comfortable and safe. Food and drinks were reasonably priced, and they have a little tuk tuk that can get you back to the main parking lot if it starts to rain. Due to COVID-19, we were the only ones on the beach. Definitely enjoyable and beautiful to get off the big beaches like Patong and Kamala.

Slightly better than Bang Tao beech as water is cleared , not sure why as they are close together just separated by headland. Different set up to Bang Tao as all food and massage stands are on hard standing behind beach, plenty of vendors on hand for sunbeds , food and drink and are on hand very quick , No need to leave beach or sun chair as they will come and take your order and deliver when ready . Some beach sellers but they are not pushy Sand is good quality and spotlessly clean and water is clear and warm . There are taxi's as you leave the beach but found them pricey and unwilling to barter , short walk to traffic island where you will find visitors center where you can barter for tuk tuk

Great beach experience. See "Tim" the massage tent lady for a great massage. Beach umbrella and lounge service very good and of course the beach is outstanding as most beaches in Phuket are. Kamala beach is another competitive beach to this one, as is Karon Beach. I like Surin though as it is more secluded and tranquil.
I recommend going earlier in the day as the wind is low and light not so intense.

Great experience overall! The Surin Beach tour with AbsoluteAsiaTours.Com was fantastic, and our guide Stephen made it even better. He was knowledgeable, friendly, and always willing to answer our questions. The tour itself was well-organized, and we got to see all the highlights of Surin Beach, from the beautiful coastline to the local markets. We especially enjoyed the traditional Thai lunch that was included in the tour - it was delicious! The transportation was comfortable and on time, and we felt safe throughout the entire experience. We highly recommend AbsoluteAsiaTours.Com and Stephen for anyone looking for a great tour of Surin Beach!

The beach is quite small and the people are trying to rent you a chair and umbrella. You constantly have to say no! As usual a lot of little shops and foodstalls. But otherwise a good and clean beach, I didn't see a shower which is nice after a swim in the sea.

Surin beach used to be our favourite beach . Quiet good for swimming and snorkeling in safety. It has now like so many beaches in Phuket started to be plaqued by jet skis roaring in and out between people trying to swim and snorkel. We thought there was a ban on these infernal noisy machines in this area ,with fines being issued in the past??

This used to be a popular tourist beach with a wide choice of restaurants set behind the beach road. There were all destroyed by the local authority and nothing there now, though sun bed vendors have moved in. If you want a quiet beach then better going to Layan. If busy then nearby Bangtao.

Hi - is there a diving school at Surin? Also kite surfing lessons?
Written September 29, 2018
I didn't see driving schools or kite flying, there is not much activity on Surin beach since the government crackdown

Hello,
Could you tell me is there sharks or deadly jellyfish at Surin Beach. Coming in a weeks time and my grandson likes surfing, is it safe at this time of year.
Are there Life guards on duty as there are conflicting comments saying they're gone?
First time to Thailand.
Cheers
Jenny

No sharks or jelly fish, the hotel has a small shack that manages water sports and the guys working there are the life guards. however, if the sea state is rough then there are warning flags to tell you not to go in. When it is calm it is shallow and very pleasant.

Is the place good for snorkelling and is there any day trips offered around there? Is it normally crowded?
Written August 24, 2018
I didn't see anything advertised in the resort, just taxi trips, which weren't particularly cheap. If you want something a bit more lively and convenient for transport/island hopping you probably have to be based in Patong.

Ciao a tutti, attualmente Surin Beach è attrezzata con lettini (no materassini sulla sabbia.....) ed ombrelloni? So che a Kata sono stati reintrodotti dallo scorso anno......
Grazie!
