I played there twice (march 2014) - the views were incredible, the greens well kept and the course very nice. However, there are blind shots on 75% of the holes - you have to just listen to your caddie and hope he knows what hes talking about. You hit and just pray that its somewhere near the flag. I personally don't like that type of golf. But if you have never played it - its worth it - paid like 40 US including caddie.
It was also a great workout - I measured it on my gps and we ended up walking (hiking) 4 miles playing 18 holes. For you older, out of shape folks, this may be a challenge. I like working out and im in great shape so that part was awesome too.

The course was challenging and fun. A great break from traditional North American designed courses. As golf is a global game, playing in different countries should reflect and embrace local cultural nuances. La Cima did this admirably.

I stayed nearby at Casa Ussa and golfed here everyday for 11 weeks. La Cima is a challenging (par 70 slope 32?) course on top of a mountain. However, the costs here are very affordable. The green fees are 50,000cop weekday 94,000 weekend (very busy 6am to 9am) the caddies are very reasonable a first rate caddy costs 33,000 cop and it seems to be standard practice to pay for the caddies meal at the 9th hole which costs 5,000 cop. Best of all I found classes with the club Pro very reasonable 45,000 cop and very well organized highly recommend taking advantage of the classes.

Getting to La Cima from Bogota is a little tricky taxis from north bogota to la Cima can run as much as 90,000 pesos each way. I used uber which is significantly cheaper however, once u try and leave La Cima there is rarely an Uber available the Club would call you a taxi from La Calera(the town nearby) and it would cost up to a 90,000 pesos. There is a bus from calle 72 and carrera 13 in North Chapinero that passes the entrance to La Cima it only costs 3,000 pesos. However, when you get off the bus at the entrance to the San Rafael Reservoir (" La Entrada a Embalse San Rafael) which is opposite the road to La Cima Club de Golf you have a 200 meter rise switch back road that you'd have to climb to get to the course very difficult if your carrying your clubs. So I would stay on the bus till it gets to La Calera and at the final stop where all the taxis wait and catch a taxi to la cima 13,000 cop and repeat the process to return to Bogota.

La Cima is a very well groomed course and is very affordable if you're looking for an extended golf vacation in colombia it is the best option.

My wife and I played at La Cima golf club for 5 days. It was tough the first day as the fairways are quite tight, however we soon got used to it and really enjoyed our time there. Cost is 50000 pesos during the week and 100000 at the weekend, making it very good value golf. We had a different caddy each day and all were excellent!

One of the toughest golf courses I’ve ever played: because of the altitude, the difficult terrain and pin positions, with good greens and heavy rough. Service is really good, people is always available to help. The only thing to improve is the facilities, which are not very well maintained. Food is delicious.
