Playa de Muro Beach
Playa de Muro Beach
4.5
About
This 3.7-mile-long beach has calm and shallow waters (great for kids to swim in) and plenty of water sports available like parasailing and jet skiing. The beach is divided into four sections and is packed with cafés, bars, and designated play areas. One section is an unofficial "nude beach", and another has sand dunes to explore. You can get sunbeds, umbrellas, and personal lockers for a fee, and there are also free-to-use showers. It's also one of the safest beaches in the world, with more than enough lifeguards on duty and a thorough rescue system in place. – Tripadvisor

    We had a great time
Lovely beach with lifeguards. Short walk along waterfront to bars, restaurants and shops. Plenty of sunbeds or beach space if needed. Water in the morning was lovely however after lunch the sea was very full of small pieces of plastic. We didn't feel able to swim in it.

    Beautiful but busy
The beach is beautiful. White sand and clear water. We spent a couple of hours on the beach during our 10 night stay. It was just too busy for us so we couldn't relax as much as we would like. If you don't mind it being busy, it's perfect. We both loved being in the sea. Perfect for families as you are not far from the waters edge and you can easily keep your eyes on your little ones.

    Quiet and relaxing
Its a quiet place, nothing flash but that makes it attractive as you don't get large noisy groups around. Beach is simple and safe with lots of sun beds. Major base for cycling in Spring and Autumn

Overrated & overcrowded. We booked a hotel really close to this beach (not to mention that this hotel does not have a half of the price value we had to pay), we wanted to be really close to a nice beach. I mean the beach is not ugly but very narrow and overcrowded and two sunbeds with a parasol cost around 19€/day. We spent 2 hours total there and chose to walk 30minutes to a nicer beach instead. If we knew before, we would have never chosen this hotel in this location. It is a mass tourism place and every day we have to think about a plan how to get away (trips on bus, bike, scooter or car), we are very disappointed, won’t ever come back. This is the first time we are looking forward to go home from the holiday :(
If you really want to visit this place, plan your trip to spend here at most 1 day.

An okay beach that was very crowded and narrow. Felt very packed and you need to swim quite far out in order to get deeper into the ocean. Two beds were €15 for the day and comes with a safe box to put belongings. I wouldn’t be visiting again purely because the pictures couldn’t be further from what we had experienced!

This hotel classed as 4 star and we upgraded our rooms to Prestige which was a waste of money and very disappointing, both rooms were up a corner both overlooking and overlooked by other balconies, our friends TV and coffee machine did not work, our fridge was not stocked as info said it would be, coffee was not replenished, service in the Mexican restaurant was poor, stayed in lots of 4-5 star hotels and this did not live up to its rating. Great service from Oscar one of the bar staff and also Sofia a waitress, but overall an expensive disappointment. Yes we did raise our concerns but reception pretty much not interested.

Muro Is a Long Beach in the North. The sand is really bright and the water is clear and flat which allows you to just sit in the water and enjoy the sun. The pier which was right in front of us, is very dreamy. From time to time you see how the boyfriend has to be the Instagram photographer for his girlfriend. It’s delightful. There are good parking spots every where and a lot of opportunities to get snacks and drinks. There are also some sunbeds you can rent. And if that’s not enough you can just lay on your Sunbed and go shopping at the same time. You have a variety to buy
Luis Viton glasses or to get a small airbrush tattoo. :)

This beach is sandy, clear water, slowing shelving into the sea. Nevertheless the beach is packed even on a Monday at 11am, dirty, lots of wrappers etc stuck in the sand, no facilities like shower points, toilets, drinks areas on the beach. Very disappointing. Maybe I am just old

The beach is far better than the one close to Port d' Alcudia. Water is shallow and seawaves later during the day was perfect for anyone. Beach chairs cost abt 15 for 2 plus one umbrella. Love the beach!

Pro - beautiful beach, not too busy, white sandy with light blue waters
Con - sunbeds cost around 5 euros each for the day but they like to lie and over change tourists. Clearly says a certain price on the tickets but he'll change whatever he wants then runs off before giving you the change. Also you get pestered every 5 mins with people selling.

The Beach is Sandy & the sea is warm & crystal clear, that’s until climate change winds kick in to action, then the sea can be rough & dangerous. One day the three life guard towers had red flags flying, yet there was children fifty metres out in the sea, I’m a strong swimmer it it was to rough for me, if you can’t stand up in any water, then don’t swim in it. It’s quite a good stretch of beach for fairly long walks. There was quite a lot of plastic rubbish on the beach, left by visitors & it shouldn’t be allowed in this day & age, apart from that it’s a nice place to spend a few hours.

Nice sandy white beach with very clean water. There is a local bar (not sure about working hours because seems like it works about 4-5hours). As part of the bar is regular, clean toilets. Sun beds and umbrella with safe cost around 16 euros. Parking is free and large and it can be found at the beginning of this long beach. Beach provides a very beautiful view of the sea.

I've visited Muro beach a few times and it's gorgeous. It's a wide sandy beach with sunbeds/shades available at a charge but also plenty of space if you just want to.lie on a towel on the beach.

The sea is gently shelving and tends to be calm so perfect of everyone including families.

There are toilets on the edge of the beach and a number of shops/restaurants very close by.
