Durga's trident
May 2019 • Family
The shakti temple referred here is the trident or trishul of mother durga housed in the temple complex of Vishvanath mandir in Uttarkashi.
The trident is around 19.5 feet in height and appears to be a single cast without soldered joints. The priest said that the base of the trishul goes deep into the ground, the depth of which has not been determined. It is believed to be the trishul used by mother durga to slain daemons. It also has a an axe (parashu) on one side of the trident.

Dedicated to female deity
Oct 2017 • Friends
This is a small temple in the lap of Himalayas. Mother Goddess Shakti Devi is worshipped here who is a symbol of all power and female energy in Hinduism. The temple is well maintained. Not at all crowded. Darshan and prayers got completed in just 5 mins of time.

Blessed by the power of the Almighty
May 2017 • Family
Visited the temple on 25.05.2017, when we were in Uttarkashi with my family members. The place is said to be the God of Power I.e., Mahamaya Kali/Durga. After just bent on the sit of the Goddess, just felt a power to eradicate the evils of our Society. Please visit the temple, whenever anybody will be at Uttarkashi.

A great Skathi temple
Oct 2016 • Couples
This temple is inside the Kashi Viswanath temple complex. It is just opposite to the main temple. The female manifestation of the divine is worshiped in the form of Shakthi depicted as a Trishool is worshiped here. The Trishool which is made of hard iron is around 8 to 9 meters tall. It is believed that Shakthi used this weapon to destroy the asuras and hence prayer inside this temple will vanquish all evil. The Trishool is so strong and steady, but yet delicate so much so that if you touch it you will feel the vibration. A very well kept temple and is a must see when in Uttarkashi.

Shiv Shakti ..
Jun 2015 • Family
This ancient temple is just opposite Kashi Vishwanath temple. Shakti here is worshiped in the form of a stupendous iron and copper trident draped in red. The temple is in the same complex as the ancient Vishwanath temple.

Temple visit
Nov 2015
Wonderful temple. Under construction outside right now, but still beautiful feeling inside. We visited 20 years and 10 years ago. They appear to be expanding the facilities around the temple.
