My wife and I recently spent a week in the beautiful hilltop village of Montefollonico with Tuscan Women Cook. We were a little disappointed that the owners were not there and several young people are now the host. The week was full of cooking and good food but the week was a bit confusing as the hosts changed daily and we had lot of free time. We have friends who recommended this trip to us. The trip was not what we thought it would be and were very disappointed that it was not all our friends had experienced.

Dear Mywifelovesme from Dallas TX, We sincerely appreciate any and all comments that will help improve our 16 year old business, however we have reviewed all our 2015 client list and do not find anything that showed you attended any of our 2015 class weeks. We feel very bad that you did not enjoy with Tuscan Women Cook. If you would be so kind as to send your full name, mailing address, telephone contact number and email address, we will make you a full refund for all money paid to us. if it turns out you actually were a guest of ours we would like, to answer a few of your comments - Patty & I apologize for not being able to be in Tuscany for our fall classes, as I had major open heart surgery and my doctors would not allow me to travel to Italy. I am recovering quite nicely and expect to be in Tuscany for our 2016 season. We did hire 4 professionals who were very familiar with Tuscan Women Cook to conduct our program for us. They all want to thank you for your words "several young people" - they are all 55- 45 years old. As to your overabundance of "free time", our guests are taken care of from 8am to 11pm everyday - with the exception for a 2 hour rest break every afternoon. We look forward to hearing from you soon. I am not much of a cook so I was skeptical about going on a vacation that included a week long cooking school. But since my wife is an excellent cook and I love Italian food I figured this would work out for me in the long run. We traveled with another couple who are close friends and out of the 4 of us 3 are excellent cooks. (Yep, I'm #4) After spending a couple of days in Rome I was longing for the quiet of the Tuscan countryside. Patty and Bill make everything so enjoyable it was over too soon. The instructional portion of the day is very relaxed and you can get as involved as you like. I was surprised by how much I enjoyed the cooking part and it was fun to get to eat at lunch what we had made that morning. Each of the chefs that worked with us were friendly fun folks to be around and enjoy teaching people like myself how to make great food. The afternoons/evenings were spent at wonderfully small, intimate restaurants where each meal was incredible. Luckily I had brought my running shoes so we could walk over to Montepulciano a few times to work up an appetite. We made some new friends with whom I hope we stay in touch. It was really great experience that I would recommend to anyone who likes to eat... err I mean cook. Thanks Patty and Bill!!!

My daughter and I love to travel and have been many places but we had never been to Tuscany. Wow, did we nail this one! The week we spent in the lovely, small village of Montefollonico with Bill and Patty was the best ever. I think they found the very best cooks in Italy to teach their classes and they were so much fun ( not like some cooking classes I have been in). We learned to make dishes I had never heard of and they were delicious. No super market veggies here but fresh out of the garden that we actually visited. After preparing the food we enjoyed it for lunch and then got ready for our next adventure of visiting ancient Tuscan villages with amazing markets full of hand made leather goods and pottery that we couldn't resist. Patty was with us and told us the history of these beautiful villages and also where the best buys were. On some of the afternoons we visited vineyards with the most delicious wine we have ever tasted. One of them has been in the same family since 1792. We had dinner as some very highly rated small restaurants each evening and it was 5 star all the way. Bill and Patty treated us to some of the best Italy has to offer and it was amazing! Visited in 2010.

One of the most carefully thought out experiences made possible by the care and planning that allowed us, the participants, to relax, learn and enjoy. The cooking was a treat, the meals delicious and the staff attentive. So sorry it is over!

As a single woman, it is difficult to plan a trip to Europe and not feel like a "third wheel"
I do not like tours, so because of my love for cooking, I thought I would give this a try. I took the 1 week class.
I had the best vacation ever. Bill and Patty make everyone feel welcome. The diversity of the group makes for interesting company. Was it just this group or does it always happen? I think, by reading the reviews of others, this is the norm. Learn great cooking skills. Enjoyed great meals with interesting people. And the setting...well it is like out of a movie. Beautiful Tuscany. I can't wait to go back. Treat yourself to a week of Tuscan Women Cook. You wont regret it, and will never forget it..

I just finished up a week in Montefollonico with Tuscan Women Cook. It was an awesome experience in SO many ways. The location is breathtaking, the excursions are well timed and professionally guided, and the cooking classes are more fun than you can imagine! And the group of participants who started out as strangers ended the week with hugs and promises to reconnect!
It's an experience that promises a wonderful time to everyone who comes--- there are couples, friends, and solo travelers who are all made to feel at home with Rhonda and Colleen as our hosts. The food and wine are abundant, the restaurant dinners are all to die for, and the atmosphere of friendship and hospitality permeates the Tuscan countryside. If possible--- I would give it 10 stars!!

What can I say? There are not enough words to describe how amaing the week with Coleen and Rhonda were. Every day was special and so much fun. All the cooking classes were imformative and delicious, and the sightseeing outings were so much fun and spots I would have never found on my own. Love all my new "15 cousins" !!!

Spend a week in Montefollonico with Tuscan Women Cook and you'll truly experience the warmth of the people who live there, appreciate their patient, easy going lifestyle, enjoy delicious food (and cook some of it, too) and drink a lot of local wines. The countryside views are spectacular everywhere you look. You'll have a chance to visit several Tuscan towns, participate in cheese and wine tastings and dine at some of the best restaurants around. The cooking instructors are charming residents who share their knowledge of making simple Italian food at it's very finest.

We just spent a week at Tuscan Women Cook. It was an unbelievable experience in a glorious setting. It was not only a hands on culinary experience but much more. The program has recently changed ownership to the very capable and attentive Coleen and Rhonda. They, along with Chef Dania Masottii of Ristorante La Chiusa and the local women cooks sharing generations old recipes and techniques, made this a truly unique experience. We were made to feel like old friends and family the entire time. The mornings were spent cooking, followed by lunch of what we had made. The afternoons were unique experiences of wine, tasting, cheese tasting, visiting surrounding towns like Montepulciano and Pienza. An entire day was spent in Siena with an incredibly knowledgeable guide. Each evening was a different and delicious dining experience at local restaurants. This was not only visiting, but living in Tuscany. An experience we certainly hope to repeat.
