TWC had been on my to do list for a number of years. I finally talked my wife into going this past June. I like to cook, she not so much. As it turned out, we both thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Although cooking classes were the focus (more of an experience- plenty of hands on, but not too technical), this certainly is not the only activity throughout the week. The week was rounded out with visits to local wineries, cheesemakers, copper smith, towns throughout the countryside, a ceramic factory, markets, and many good restaurants when we were not eating the fruits of our labors. We were lodged at a small agruitrismo 5 minutes away from the base in Montefollonico- a lovely medieval hill town in the Tuscan countryside just across the valley from Montepulciano. Plenty of trails to allow walking between villages to work off the extra calories if you choose. I'm not usually a group tour person, but this really worked! Fantastic people, but enough alone time if you prefer. Rhonda and Colleen are doing a nice job of continuing the TWC legacy. We enjoyed it so much, we have signed up for a return trip in the autumn to experience a different season.

What can I say about the most amazing fun filled week with old friends and new. As 4 Canadian women we had planned this trip for over 2 years . Belagaggio is beautiful with breath taking views of olive groves and vineyards . Two of us actually participated in the olive harvest .The day trip to Siena was a treat. The cooking classes were jam packed with new information and wonderful Tuscan recipes...... and wine ..... plenty of wonderful wine .... Our excursions to Montepulciano and Montefollonico were a delight .Everywhere we looked there was another stunning view to cherish. A shout out to the lovely Eileen, the effervescent Ashley and Coleen the master craft behind the scenes. This for us was a once in a life time trip one we will cherish forever. Do yourself a favour .... just do it !!! Tuscan Women and their Nona’s are one in a million . Thank you for an amazing time.

We are seasoned travelers -- have been to Europe and Italy many times, but this trip was absolutely one of the very best, ever. All of the excellent reviews are spot on about this experience. The attention to detail, the immersion in culture, history, local products (olive oils, ceramics, linens) wines and food is unsurpassed. Preplanning went off without any problems, and any thing we needed while in country was taken care of (translation, transportation, cooking instructions, shopping venues). Everyone in our large group of 12 had a blast. I highly recommend Tuscan Woman Cook and am looking forward to coming back.

Tuscan Women Cook gives hands on classes with real Tuscan nonnas and chefs, and each one was a delight. I got immersed in the local culture by learning their techniques in their kitchens. And it is FUN! (And I am no chef, let me tell you) The pace was lively yet they made sure to give us down time, too. In addition to cooking – and eating and drinking – they offered an interesting variety of excursions. The agenda was well-timed to get in a wide assortment of experiences, each with an introduction to locals: craftsmen, artists, merchants, cheese makers, pottery, and of course wine cellars and vineyards. We even had the unique opportunity to visit an apiary. The accommodations are in a quiet setting that begged to be photographed. The daily transportation was top-notch. I was so grateful to have Fabio drive that little bus around those curves and hills so I could gawk at the scenery. What I felt set this experience way above standard is the personalities of the staff and their relationship with the local community. Colleen and Rhonda have high regard for the people they interact with, and they treated each of us as a valued friend, so much so that it was hard to say goodbye at the end of the week. I’d do this again – and plan to!

My husband and I traveled with our adult son and his wife. It was a fabulous week. Amazed at what comes out of small kitchens. The classes were hands on with the nonas and included a translator to enhance the experience. Side trips, restaurants, wine tastings, knowledgeable guides. Rhonda and Coleen were delightful. If you like Italian cooking, it's a dream. Spent the next week in Florence to cap the vacation.
