Visited Mt. Kailash in July 2019 through Monterosa Treks. It was a wonderful trip. We were well taken care of by the staff. All of them were extremely helpful. Just to mention a few names Ranjan, Prakash. Food was very delicious, hot and always served with broad smiles in spite of the hard work that went behind getting the food ready in time for the guests. Big thank you to all team members of Monterosa Treks.…

i went for this holy pilgrimage with my mother in September. It had been sitting in my bucket list for long and finally my dream came true when i just decided to go for it this year! We were lucky to have travelled during the right period as the weather was just perfect and we witnessed the best view of Holy Mount Kailash & Mansarovar Lake without weather playing foul. It was indeed a divine experience to have taken the first day parikrama/trek with success, given the degree/level of toughness of the complete trip due to extreme weather conditions. There is nothing quite like the beautiful sight of the holy mountain. one can feel the divine blessings of lord Shiva in the environment. It is a group travel only, managed by specialized tour operators who are registered with Chinese/Tibetian authority to procure the permits and Visas. The total travel time is 8-9 days and the trek of Kailash is a 3 days long for 54 Kms. Its a break journey due to extremity of the trek. One can only do this trek if they are physically fit to bear the weather conditions of low oxygen and air pressure. I am so tempted to do this yatra once more if health and luck permits and this time, I would like to do the "Charan Sparsh" which means touch the feet of Mount Kailash. This post completion of first day of parikrama/trek of 14 kms. I ask for more of this beautiful experience! Word of caution: Unfortunately we went with SOTC given their longstanding existence and reputation in the Travel industry, but had a very harrowing experience. Would recommend not to go with SOTC for this trip as it is a total nightmare dealing with them post trip as well as my grievances are still pending with them despite escalating it to the top management.…
