This beach looks really pretty in photos but we learned it was only certain times of the year. We could not swim as the waves were too big. We were told that’s the case during most of the winter in high season. It cost us $10 per person to drive out here and took about 35 minutes. We had a decent pizza at Island Planation and left. We really enjoyed the big beaches on Bastimentos the best during our holiday.

Golden sandy beach with lovely coconut tree background. Massive surf makes it interesting. Quiet because it is away from it all. We got there on our rented golf buggy, great sandy road access.

We stayed at a local resort right on the beach for a few days and I have to say that Playa Bluff is a beautiful beach with great sand, awesome waves and cool breezes. Miles of soft sand make for some great walks along the picture perfect postcard backdrop. Highly recommended!!!

Wonderful for surfers! All the time long surfing waves make the place an absolute refuge for surfers, be it rainy or dry season. I recommend the Bluff Beach Retreat with excellent service located smack on the beach.

This is a fabulous beach to visit. We stayed in the area a week and enjoyed the many miles of beach. We are typically snorkellers and enjoy calm waters so debated going knowing it was a surfers paradise. We got lucky with a few days when the seas calmed down for swimming, other days the surfers were happy with the large swells. Apparently a world class trick surfer was there and he definitely had some moves. We enjoyed watching surfers , eating st the few cool places and taking long walks on the beach ! The road is just steps away , then the jungle meets the ocean which is really cool and offers shade & gorgeous foliage! We went to many private spots all the way up to the blue lagoon, where you can always go for a swim!!

Beautiful Beach- We loved Bluff Beach- the sand is beautiful and the waves are amazing. It’s not a swimming beach as the current and waves are too strong.
We watched the International Body Board competition here a couple of weeks ago and was outstanding!

This is the quintessential deserted beach that runs on and on. I think I saw maybe 4 people over 2 KM. No stores either. Nothing. Come here to feel you got away from it all.

Don’t go swimming! There are signs about how dangerous it is. I went in waist deep and already could feel the pull of the current

If you are looking for an isolated spot ona beach.....Bluff Beach is a great choice. The odds are you will not see another person on the beach all day. It's approx 3km long, so a great beach to walk on/explore.

Simply beautiful. And without the usual beach crowd. In fact, there's seldom anyone here. I hiked along the beach. Good exercise. I only saw two other persons, also walking along. Being from south Florida, I'm used to seeing beaches almost daily. But they're always crowded. And not as scenic as this beach.

Playa Bluff is a beautiful stretch of tropical beach that offers the serenity of the Caribbean scenery without the flocking crowds that you might experience at other beaches. My friend and I rode bikes here from Bocas Town, which for the most part was a smooth flat ride, though there were a couple of small hills, patches of soft sand, and mud puddles to deal with along the way, but that only added to the adventure. When we finally arrived at the beach, we were the only people on the entire stretch of sand, making us feel as though we had newly discovered a completely untouched place. Perfect setting to take a long walk while soaking in the atmosphere. Heed the posted safety warnings and do not attempt to go swimming here. The waves, though beautiful to watch, are quite big and the currents clearly very strong.
