It is absolutely not possible to swim at this beach. In fact, it is very dangerous due to the extremely strong currents. This is a pity and I was not aware as my travel agency did not inform me about this. Apparently there are really beautiful beaches for swimming on this island.

Simply beautiful. And without the usual beach crowd. In fact, there's seldom anyone here. I hiked along the beach. Good exercise. I only saw two other persons, also walking along. Being from south Florida, I'm used to seeing beaches almost daily. But they're always crowded. And not as scenic as this beach.

If you are looking for an isolated spot ona beach.....Bluff Beach is a great choice. The odds are you will not see another person on the beach all day. It's approx 3km long, so a great beach to walk on/explore.

Bluff is our peaceful place in the world. Bocas Del Toro is an amazing trip, but there is something special about Bluff. Maybe it is the miles of beach with almost nobody on them, maybe its the people, maybe its the jungle that starts at the beach and continues into the beautiful hills. We loved Bluff so much we bought a small house after being to Bocas 3 times.

Playa Bluff is a beautiful stretch of tropical beach that offers the serenity of the Caribbean scenery without the flocking crowds that you might experience at other beaches. My friend and I rode bikes here from Bocas Town, which for the most part was a smooth flat ride, though there were a couple of small hills, patches of soft sand, and mud puddles to deal with along the way, but that only added to the adventure. When we finally arrived at the beach, we were the only people on the entire stretch of sand, making us feel as though we had newly discovered a completely untouched place. Perfect setting to take a long walk while soaking in the atmosphere. Heed the posted safety warnings and do not attempt to go swimming here. The waves, though beautiful to watch, are quite big and the currents clearly very strong.

We stayed at a local resort right on the beach for a few days and I have to say that Playa Bluff is a beautiful beach with great sand, awesome waves and cool breezes. Miles of soft sand make for some great walks along the picture perfect postcard backdrop. Highly recommended!!!

Spent a few hours walking on the beach, sitting and watching the waves. My husband went in but the waves were a bit high for me. I watched surfers for a while which was lovely. The sand is golden and clean. A lovely afternoon.

Bluff beach is one of those postcard perfect places. Miles of soft sand, waves crashing and the endless horizon of the Caribbean Sea. There are few amenities around but for a few scattered guesthouse and a coiled restaurants. The rips can be intense, keep your wits about you in the water.
You can get there from Bocas a number of ways including the white van transports for $3 or a 50 minute bike ride.

The beach is beautiful, but the surf is rough. Signs about "rip tides" are posted everywhere - we heeded them!
