Réfléchir is no longer there!
May 2021
So regrettable. The artwork Réfléchir is no longer there. A big loss for Leffrinkoucke. Shame on you, mayor and municipal administration. No more reason to visit Leffrinckoucke. Or it should be for the kitchen of "Les Oyats" ... We've eaten there several times tasty fish dishes.

PART OF THE ATLANTIC WALL
May 2019
Another part of the Atlantic wall known more for the evacuation than anything else. The glass was put all over this one bunker as a memorial for what happened in this place. Take a walk over the sand dunes to explore the rest of the system of bunkers and buildings. Built to keep the allies out North of the harbor and the northern beaches.

Very good blockhaus or bunker
Dec 2018 • Family
Blockhaus is an artistical bunker located in the beach of Leffrinckoucke, close to the Durkirk, an important city in the 2nd World War, located in the North of France. In this beach there are some bunkers from 2nd Worls War and Fort des Dunes, so it is very well integrated in the full complex. Really, it is very curious and interesting. We came here with my 3 years old daughter and all of us enjoyed a lot: running and playing in the beach and seeing some bunkers and artistical bunkers. Really, a very good experience for history-lovers.

This is north of the city and well worth the visit
Apr 2019
There is a blockhouse here as well as many shipwrecks which you can only see at very low tide so be warned to know the tides.. It is definitely a must if you are in Dunkirk and interested in the WW1 battle.

Incredible atmosphere
Feb 2018 • Couples
Standing near the Blockhaus you feel an enormous sense of sadness knowing how and why it was built, along with the numerous bunkers stretching along the beach. Well worth the short walk just to view this incredible piece of history
