excellent ski hire facilities - decent ski grooming. ski teaching also good and staff helpful. eating around in the town was good

The scenery of Changbai Mountain is fantastic. However, you need luck to see the Tianchi. When we arrived the top of the Tianchi, a blizzard struck. The whether was terrible and nothing we could see.

We heard that it was difficult to have good weather to see the lake and we made it with no rain!! We are thankful that the weather was good and we could see the beautiful lake with good reflection. It was worth it.

The protected area managers have done a great job in designing visitor-friendly nature trails, excellent signs, reasonable visitor management (try to avoid weekends and Chinese holidays). Access to all the best parts of the reserve is by reserve-owned buses, minibuses, and SUVs, so traffic jams...More

I had always wanted to see Changbaishan, and when we went I think so did most of China and Korea. Admittedly it turned out our first day was Chinese Valentine's Day so the queues were horrendous on the road before even reaching the park area....More
