These people need to get their act together
Dec 2017
These people really need to get their act together. The hot spring itself is fine if you can get in and out of the tubs without falling and cracking your skull. Because the wide stone decking around the edges of the tub are so wide you pretty much need to either do a split to step over them or if you dare, step on them while they are layered in ultra slippery ice inviting a fall onto the stone floor. Then in the pools themselves the bottoms are smooth stone except for the occasional huge stone, black so you can’t see it until after you stub your toe on it. Towels must be very precious to these people as the only ones you will get is the one in your locker when you arrive. Normally a place like this would have stacks of towels for your convenience but not here. Speaking of convenience there is the issue of the showers. First they don’t oblige people to shower the dirt and sweat off themselves before entering the tubs like they do in most other places like in Japan for example, personally I find this a bit disgusting. Then when you do want to shower after exiting the communal tubs there are a number of issues: 1. In the stand up shower area they put only one or two bottles of liquid soap or shampoo in the middle of about 6 open shower stalls making you have to go out and get some from the shared bottle every time you need soap. 2. Then there are the seated showers with absolutely no soap whatsoever 3. Inconvenience, For either shower areas they give you no place to put either your phone or your towel. But they do have a big towel hamper there to deposit your towel. However if you do so you have nothing to dry with after showering and no towel for modesty for the walk back to your locker. This doesn’t seem to bother most of the locals using the facility but I wish it did because neither do I need to see that nor do I need to show off either. 4. MAJOR HASSLE is just getting into the place to begin with especially for a foreigner. It’s bad enough you had to go through this huge extra hassle during your hotel checkin to get this one piece of paper to allow you entry into the hot spring in the first place traipsing back and forth across the lobby to get the paper verified and stamped but then when you actually get to the hot spring you need to bring your passport with you and go to one desk near the door for them to stamp your paper, check your passport, make photocopies!, before you then go to yet another desk to get your locker key and still another desk for slippers. Plus, they make you bring your passport and do the whole stinking song and dance again every day you want to use the springs! 5. Inconsistency, Entering the Hot Spring and use of the facility was included with our room charges. Day 1 no problem, days 2,3,4 no problem then all of a sudden policy change? The started requiring every one to pay ¥100. for locker usage! 6. Further inconvenience, they have a pretty big locker room. Good right? So why is it when you decide to use the facilities on a slow day when the place is nearly empty and you just so happen to have 3 guys come in about the same time, who it was pretty obvious didn’t know each other, do you hand them keys to lockers clustered together literally one above, below and next to each other when you could think about customer convenience instead? It’s a huge locker-room why must I be forced to get naked in close proximity to other guys when it’s avoidable? Stellar customer service it’s not. All in all I don’t plan to go back unless they get their crap together

Too crowded and not attractive!!
Jan 2019 • Friends
I went there during the Chinese Lunar New Year holiday and I walked out when I saw the crowd. Every hotels' guests go there except if the hotels offer hot spring (hot pools nothing natural at all) so I let you guess about water quality...
Will not go back. Stay in your hotel's hot bath/spring or try some more local place in the area (10-20 minutes drive)
