Wow wow, when we went there there was just one more tourist.
Was taken back by breathtaking view from Windmill viewpoint.
Sat for more than an hour while having 30 baht ice lemon tea from the tiny shop there- enjoying best view we saw in Phuket in our 6 day trip.
Don’t miss this, really worth every cent you will pay to get here ( car or bike).
It’s in southern part of Phuket near Promthep cape I believe.
A must visit attraction in Phuket.

Friday 14th February and we stopped here as one of the attractions on our Explore Phuket Tour.
When our Guide said we were visiting Windmill view point , conjured up images of an old Thai windmill, if such a thing exists. Must admit on arrival at the view point was a little disappointed as windmill was modern day, wind farm turbine, owned by Promthep Alternative Energy Station.
However the disappointment was short lived once we saw the stunning views of Yan Newi and Nai Han beaches and Ko Man Island with the clear blue/green waters of the Andaman Sea.
Absolute stunning views, great photo opportunity.

We visited this place in time of our trip through island. The viewpoint is located above popular beach Ya Nui. Up there is only small parking place and summerhouse without walls. There are beautiful view on small island called Koh Man and Ya Nui Beach.

Wind Turbine Viewpoint Most of the observation spots are rarely known, so there are often few people. If you have a nice carpet, you can see the sunset here as well.

we took a taxi here which was very expensive and the views here are spectacular. Suggest you book a tour instead as the taxi was already a 1000 Baht!

We visited this place on 13 Jun 2019.
This is a very picturesque viewpoint. A short drive from Promtep Cape and Viewpoint. This place could get very crowded and you may just join the queue and wait for your turn to take pictures.

As far as viewpoints go this is one of the best. It is expansive and easy to get the money shot here. The best time to visit is just before sunset. You'll have pictures that you will treasure for a lifetime!

Nice views from here. If you only visit one viewpoint though I would go for the Karon one, .the views are better from there.

You go here for the view that happens to have a wind turbine next to where you stop. There is parking and a food stall for refreshments. Good photo stop.

Now I realize why it is called Windmill Viewpoint. Not an old style windmill, but a modern wind turbine on the hill.
Very scenic and a great place to take photos.
