Their trips are good for people who would like to have a relaxing trip. Free to go around and take photos. Sunset tour was great. Visited Koh Panak and Koh Hong for sightseeing and canoeing. The water in Phang Nga is not clear though so just right for canoeing for me. Buffet dinner was good, variety of food was excellent and if you’d wish to have a lobster on top of the seafood they serve, you could have one at extra charge which is worth it. Had fantastic view of sunset on the way back.

I really enjoyed my trip which was conducted by Phuket Patri Tour (PPT). I had booked my tour online through Viator after searching several websites based on price and itinerary. I'll admit that I didn't have sky-high expectations as I am well aware about eco tourism, overpopulation and the pollution that some of these smaller islands have suffered.

Viator and PPT communicated with me professionally throughout the booking, following up on the purchase of my ticket with email confirmations regarding my accommodation and pick up time. On the day of the tour we were picked up at 7.20 sharp at Kata Beach (timing varies depending on where you stay). Another two stops were made en route to Ao Po Pier to pick up other guests and unfortunately the youngest child of one family started throwing up. The driver was extremely courteous by stopping immediately to allow the family to attend to the child and even helping to clean up afterwards.

Arriving at the head office of PPT we had some light refreshment (just coffee or tea). The place became quite chaotic as more tourists arrived and it could be quite hard to understand what is going on as you are separated into various groups. I recommend you pay attention during this period as you are assigned a group and tour leader. Pay attention especially to the Alphabetical sticker placed on your chest and do not lose it. Keep tight in the group and sight of your tour leader as he/she leads you for a short walk from the office to the jetty where you will board a truck to the awaiting boat. I saw firsthand how some tourists missed the truck and hence their boat simply by not listening. I do understand that in the circumstance it can be overwhelming whilst instructions are being shouted out plus the language / accent barrier.

Once on the boat there will be a short briefing, take the time to apply sunblock as there is a high chance you'll get burned. Important information is disclosed here, such as safety protocols, the need to wear your life jacket prior to departure, your assigned groups (you will be categorised according to your hotel location and tour package). Again this part is really really important as it determines which island you will visit first.

Refreshment is again provided on the boat (water, soft drinks and bananas). If you want a beer it'll be an additional charge. The company also provides water proof bags and phone pouches for rental. If you didn't bring a towel along, you're bang out of luck because there won't be one provided on board.

Depending on whether you purchased the 5 or 4 in 1 package, your first stop will be James Bond Island. It takes 45 minutes to get there and the boat will take you within range of the island where you will then be brought ashore by long boat. You get an hour to walk around the island, bring your water with you or you'll have to pay again on the island, be careful also of the souvenir shops there which are overpriced and be prepared to fight it out with hundreds of people for your Instagram worthy shot. The island itself was nothing spectacular to me but I nonetheless enjoyed going around it. Once the time was up, we were transferred back to the main boat where lunch was waiting. If you are expecting a huge feast again you are having the wrong perceptions. Lunch is simple: fried rice, fried noodles, whole fish, fried chicken, vegetables etc (they cook everything on board and it has to be halal and/or vegetarian so please try to understand their limitations).

The second island was Hong island where you will be brought on canoe through the island, this was for me my favourite part even though I didn't get to canoe myself. The weather was good, the scenes were great and if I had to complain it will be that we just didn't have enough time. Next will be Panak Island for another round of canoeing, this time through the limestone caves, it was the shortest part of the trip for us as the tide was low and we couldn't canoe in further. Though disappointed, it was a little blessing in disguise as this meant we had more time for swimming later.

The last stop of the trip was at a beach where we could jump off the side of the boat and swim for about 45 minutes. It was really nice and cool after spending hours in the sun, be careful of jellyfish. The boat will then bring you back to Ao Po Pier where you can make you way back to the office and back to your hotel by the same mini-van.

Overall, I had a good time and I am grateful to the staff for making it comfortable for me, I guess it was easier for them as my girlfriend is Thai. I acknowledge that there are some discrepancies between what was advertised on the website and what you will actually get to experience, after all when you're being sold something it will always be fancifully dressed up. I guess the trick is not to expect so much. Just have an open mind and try to enjoy yourself as much as possible. I think this tour is great if you're in a group of up to 4 people but not more than that and definitely not if you're with small children.

Hope this advise helps!

We took this trip and we were very happy with it. Our boat had very little people. The food was of a high standard. All staff were very friendly and helpfull. Always looking out to make sure we had a great time. Excellent timing as most tours are on their way back from the islands and we could enjoy it without the crowds.

In my 8 month trip around the world this trip was definitely one that I remember to be somewhat disappointing. Firstly the transfer was very late picking us up which makes you begin to worry about if you have the date and time correct. Secondly, the whole day felt a little like a school trip with threats of being left on the islands if you were late back. I am not someone who is ever late but this put me on edge. In addition, the timings to some of the islands seemed not to make sense....and our trip to the lagoon was made at a time when there was no water and it was just muddy and wet to walk around. They were also very pushy for tips at the end of the day which can make some people uncomfortable. On a plus, I remember the food to be quite nice!

My girlfriend and I had a couple days in Phuket, and really wanted to canoe/kayak through the caves at Panak Island. We were told we could do this with Phuket Patri Tours on the 5-in-1 trip. After spending the vast majority of the day on the boat making short shopping stops on islands we did not care about, we finally arrived at Panak Island, where we were found out that it was not the right time of day, and the low tide meant that we simply walked through the cave to a dry lagoon. Considering that this was the only part of the trip we even wanted to do in the first place (which we made very clear when we were purchasing the trip), we were basically completely lied to, and felt like we wasted one of our two days in Phuket. This is a company that lacks integrity and lies to you / cheats you to make money, and I highly recommend avoiding them.

The places we went in this tour were really good.

But the crew had some organization problems and yelled very in a rude way at me in 2 different occasions with no reason.
In the other hand the kayak guy was charming and funny, so I tipped the crew members that I thought they actually deserved it.

At the end, they made a speech asking for a minimum tip of 50 baths claiming that they provided free water and bananas and that they were tired (That’s actually their job, am also tired at the end of the day when working. I think they should not ask for the tips that way).
So when they asked me for the tip I told them they yelled at me twice during the tour and already tipped some members of the crew.
Then they repeated in front of everyone and looking at me the same speech very loudly so everyone could hear making me the bad guy of the movie.

Very bad manners in general.

We booked the trip thought and online site and Phuket Patri Tours ended up managing it .

While the trip we had was decent but the tour guide lady every second wanted to make money 💰.

Every second sentence she said including making money one way or another . Every third sentence she said was "my company will not be responsible for it ".

She was very rude to the people from a few nationalities .

The package included a lunch meal and evening fruits . She kept on saying my team made food for you fruits for you please tip them and she was always constantly on and on about asking for money .

This lady totally irritated everyone .

We booked for James Bond island plus 4 other islands including the Muslim fishing 🎣 island .

The Muslim Fishing 🎣 village can be avoided as they don't allow you to spend any time at James Bond .

Our canoe guide was really good and had a great smile .

Overly all rating is because of the beautiful islands and the canoe guide otherwise this would have been a 0 rating .

I have been to James Bond Island etc a few times, Today I went with this crowd as its the only one the travel agent near our resort offered.
The boat itself was in good shape and clean, very pleasant, and the staff were funny and nice, The lunch they provide as part of your tour was also nice.
So I book a tour with hotel transfers for 2 People, all inclusive.
Well the start of the trip was fine, but after lunch you get to Kayak with a guide into caves etc, (as part of your tour) but then your guide ask for a tip, Then next time your in the Kayak your asked once again for a tip. They recommend the appropriate amount to....
But what takes the cake is the main staff member, says over the microphone on the way back to the pier please help pay the staff by each person giving 100 Bhat,
This left a sour taste in my mouth for the whole second part of the trip.
Yes I tip if I get good service, NO I don't like being asked to tip, and I say don't tip if they ask as its just rude, This is not what Thailand is about and they are just taking the piss.

Stay away from these guys and they might learn that as visitors' we deserve a bit more respect from our host, then you might get a tip, but only if deserved, not just cause you want one.

We went on the four stop tour to Jamesbond island, hong island (canoeing), panak island (canoeing in cave) and lastly swimming.

Overall my wife and I had a very good day - and so did our two kids of 2 and 5.

The crew was extremely helpful, polite and service minded during the whole trip. Helping us with getting in/out of canoes safely, ensuring a good atmosphere on the boat and cheering up the kids if they got a but bored on the longer stretches (long for our kids = anything above 15 minutes without action)

We were also encouraged to give a tip to the paddle-guy and crew and had no problems with that - gave 700 baht as a sign of how much we appreciated their effort.

Really enjoyed a day cruising around the islands, with canoe excursion included, Such beautiful scenery and lovely crew, friendly and funny. We were lucky that the boat wasn't too full, perhaps about 50 people - I think if much fuller then things can be a little crowded. Lunch was sufficient and ok, nothing too great but adequate. Canoe guide was fabulous really made the excursion memorable. At the end, as per Thai custom, they asked for tips I could see some people didn't like this but it's the same everywhere so we obliged - Recommended trip.
