I would not go out of my way to visit Khao Rang unless it was to sip a drink and watch the sunset. This is the only place on the east of the island where you will see the sunset. There are a couple of...More

The Hill and the view from the terrace is wonderful. I was also there in a fine restaurant with great and not so expensive food. I liked all very much....probably because I was there with Thai girl who took me there and we had wonderful...More

Must visit. People can see the sights of Phuket from above. There's also a coconut water seller. The price is very cheap and the taste of the water is very good.

Which Viewpoint to go for Sunset? (10 Replies)
Hi guys, With the help from all of you on this forum, I had planned most of my Phuket Trip! Thanks! I had a question left, I read that both Phrompthep Cape and Khao Rang Hill View Point is good for Sunset. Especially Khao Rang as there is a 2nd restaurant further in which offer good Sunset View while having a dinner. Where will you guys suggest I go to? Photos from Phrompthep Cape looks a lot better! But can I get nice food from there too? Thanks!

Up on the hill over from Kata to Nai Harn you will pass the reggae pub over Kata Noi, here is very nice view and atmosphere for a sunset drink! Another cozy please that have very nice view & great food is Sabai Corner. Just after the"Kata View point turn right, follow the road for 5 minutes and when passed the big stone one the road (you will notice this stone in middle of the road...) then next small rd up to Left..... Very chilli place to hangout for a drink or two.... Enjoy!
