Sad.
Jan 2019 • Couples
Went here with the intention the elephants would not be chained up and they would be in a good enough environment. What I saw however was just sad, upon arrival we went to ride the elephants in groups of 2, our instructor would stomp on the elephants head when it wouldn't move and pull her ears, the trek was incredibly short also. After that they had the youngest elephant put on a show, it was clear that it was trained as no elephants bow and kneel or do tricks, I can't imagine what cruelty it must of gone through to learn all of this. I refused to take a photo as the other tourists did, I regretted ever booking this with the agent in Thailand, they just want money at the end of the day and will lie to you. PLEASE DO YOUR RESEARCH BEFORE GOING TO THESE TYPES OF PLACES, I left with my friend and regret ever contributing money to this cause. This has now made me more aware of travelling. GO TO THE SANCTUARY never trek on these poor animals. Lesson learned.

Amazing program for an afternoon
Oct 2018 • Couples
We were looking for a program to do in the afternoon that mixed the contact with nature and adventure.
So we found Amazing Bukit Safari on the internet with the activities that we wanted.
It was amazing and interesting and the safari is near the center of Phuket town.
We went on Monday so it wasnt crowdy. We had a great time. Beautiful place and friendly staff.

Great experience
Feb 2018 • Couples
It was lovely. Friendly stuff. It was amazing riding the elephants. It's just sad seeing them in captivity like that, especially the monkeys tied with leashes.

Elephant trekking near Phuket!
Mar 2018 • Friends
Three of us went to try elephant trekking in Phuket. Price was reasonable and it was only a short drive from our hotel resort on Patong. Trekking was about an hour through some low lying hills and jungle by a small river. After finishing trekking, we ended up feeding bananas to our elephants. Looked like elephants were being kept and treated well by the caretakers.

Great Experience
Aug 2018 • Family
We went to the safari with our 2 kids 4 and 8 yo, we enjoyed the elephant trekking, it was a unique experience and an eye opener for our kids. Everyone has their own opinion as to how to create awareness to protect and love animals, I personally didn’t see any mistreatment of any elephant. We had the 1 hour ride, after we fed bananas to our elephants and enjoyed a session of photos with a baby elephant onsite. To me it was a once in a lifetime experience which will live in my family memories for the rest of our lives. Thanks to all the staff at Amazing Bikit Safari for a fantastic experience.

It was all fun until the guides stopped and told us we had to give the a tip
Apr 2018
My husband and I did the elephant ride with our 2 daughters aged 7 and 9. Everyone was having a really nice time apart from the lady on the elephant kept talking about being a lady boy and then my daughter asking what is a lady boy and telling my daughter to move her sexy bum. She kept calling the elephant poo, chocolate cake. She offered to take photos of us without her or the other guide on the elephant. It became very awkward when after taking the photos they would not move until we paid a tip. They wanted 300 baht which we did not want to pay as we had already paid 3600 baht for the tour and didn’t expect to have to pay for them to take photos for us with our camera, that they offered to take. It really soured the experience and she was less than pleasant afterwards. We felt cornered into having to tip them. We considered that we had paid a fair amount of money for this tour and the expectation that the Thai people think they can squeeze a little bit extra out of ‘rich westerners’ who are really just working people who have saved for a holiday was a common theme on our trip to Thailand. I would not recommend this tour because of this.

Worth doing
Oct 2017 • Couples
We just took in the elephant show and ride as have seen monkey shows before. Was a pleasant afternoon. The elephants seemed in good health and were not abused at any stage by the mahouts we saw; the ride was very casual with the elephant obviously knowing the way and allowed to take her time through any rough places. The mahout was excellent, explaining the surroundings and ready to offer us time to stop for the view.

Sadness 😥
Jul 2017 • Friends
If you are an animal lover, then I implore you not to book an elephant treking tour. The elephants are kept in cramped conditions, they are under nourished and over worked. The elephant I rode (which I will always regret) was so skinny I could see her ribs and deep depression radiated from her. If you are thinking about booking this trip please consider going to the elephant sanctuary instead where you can spend time with free roaming rescued elephants. Animal exploitation for human recreation or entertainment can be reduced...one person at a time and you can help by not booking this tour 🙏🙏🙏

Good service
Jul 2017 • Family
The service overall here was very nice, everyone was very polite and professional. The monkey show was very entertaining and the feeding of the young elephant was super fun for my children. However, I feel terrible that I did the elephant trekking. They look old and very tired, I did not see any animal cruelty in fact the workers were nice to them but I think the elephants here need a break they're too old.

Lovely relaxed morning
Jun 2017 • Couples
We booked through our accommodation and were picked up as scheduled by the driver. Pukky was our guide. She was very helpful, spoke excellent English and took the time to explain things in detail and answer all of our questions.
