Me and my wife went for our first scuba dive with Thailand divers. Both of us are non swimmers. It was an awesome experience. Simona went through the process and set expectations for our dives. Jimmi and Tanya instructed us about the basic skills required in the pool, that was very helpful in gaining some confidence. The diving spots were very clean and beautiful. The actual dives were very memorable and they took care of us throughout the dive. We got to see a unique ecosystem of marine life. This experience is unmatched anywhere on land or in aquariums. The team is also very considerate about keeping the dive spots clean and ensure safety of the marine life as well as the corals. The lunch was good. The whole activity was well planned and lasted more than half a day. All the required equipment was ready before our dives. Thank you, team.

Had a great experience getting our PADI certification. Our instructor Jonathon was great. Knew his study and was patient, yet thorough. Because of him, I have great confidence in diving. He worked well with my teen daughters and encouraged them that helped them move out of their comfort zone. Thank you.

Out of the beaches we visited in Phuket, I liked Karon beach the best. It was quiet and peaceful. Also there were safety dividing lines so parasailing don't get too close to the swimmers. We sat at a restaurant by the beach and watched the sunset. After the sunset, merchants come on the beach selling wish lamps (about $5US) you can wish upon it and watch it fly into the night sky.

Very hot but quiet and peaceful. Serene and calm, unlike Patong beach. Enjoyed ourselves there on the last day in the hot afternoon before our night flight. Eateries nearby. Not much shopping.

First, Thailand Divers actually served as the coordinator for the trip, which was run by South Siam Divers. That takes nothing away from the excellent communications and coordination both via the web and in person. Mr. Charlie Bird was extremely helpful throughout numerous email inquiries, including setting us up with a pool refresher (it had been 7 years since our last dive) in Karon Beach. The folks at the shop were very courteous and helpful, and our instructor Borka (sic) was very good. Logisitics for the trip were fully coordinated for us and while the travel to/from the dive boat takes a while, it was a piece of cake. The Dive Boat (Somboon 3) was clean and well organized, and all of the employees were friendly and helpful. Our cabin was clean and comfortable, and the food prepared for breakfast, lunch and dinner was very good. We did 7 dives in 2 days, including a night dive (our first). We were disappointed to see that most all of the coral is dead (not the fault of the company of course!), but there were plenty of colorful fish, rays, turtles, and even an occasional reef shark. All things considered a very good trip with a very good company, and I highly recommend it.
