A visit to Chillva Market is worthwhile. Follow Yaowarat Road från Phuket town centre, at the roundabout and go north. Pass Bankkok Hopsital and turn left at the red lights. Chillwa is there on your right hand side after about 700 meter. Make a right...More

Nice food, good variety of merchandise and ample parking (if u come earlier at 5) I prefer Chillva market than the walking street market. This is not as packed and the walkways are more spacious. The stalls are more organised and tidy. Lots of food...More

Ok interesting food to be found including obligatory scorpions and bugs and a great Thom Yum soup but really not much in the way of other interesting stalls - phuket has other better markets

Chillva Market is a great place to go if you want to feel a local vibe and eat fresh from the grill. There are many small booths selling all kinds of food, and some places to sit down and have a beer as well. Enjoy!

We visited hoping to find some interesting shopping and were disappointed. However the food options were great - 10 satay for 60 Baht and then sticky rice with mango for another 60 Baht made for a cheap and delicious dinner. But not worth a special...More

A classy, clean and varied small market with a great food selection. There are bars with balconies along the edge so one is Abe to look down upon the stalls.

Blue Bus Question (inc. Markets). (7 Replies)
With the Blue Bus. I see it's the cheapest way to get from Karon to the "Old Phuket" side of the island, but only runs till late afternoon, so Tuk Tuk or Taxi back to Karon after this time. The query I have is, and I see this bus definitely can take you to Old Phuket, Thalang Road, for their weekend markets, but does this also go past the Naka "Night" market location as well? "Market Question" - what's the best way to get to and from Karon to Chillva Market?

Hi Shraps, The Naka Market is the largest market in old Phuket, best night to go is Saturday tell driver Naka Market stop so as not to be confused with The Old Town Walking Street Market also called Lardyai night market.Which will also be on on the same night so they may end up taking you there if you just say night market. So make yourself clear. The bus doesn't actually run past either market but for the Naka market will let you off at the stop on the main road near the corner of the...More
