If you’re prepared to barter you can get some great deals at low prices. Start at about half the asking price and be prepared to walk away as you can always go back if you can’t find it cheaper. Huge complex with a huge variety of cheap hygienic food. We spent 3 hours walking around

Not worth going there unless you like some cheap fake stuff with low quality.
We were looking for some authentic souvenirs. But this place is definitely not the one where you find such stuff. The food was ok but not easy to eat since it is too crowded.

On Friday we went to Bang Tao market in Cherngtalay which is in Pasak Koktanod road close to Boat avenue/villa supermarket. This one was really nice with interesting handmade staff. Didn’t eat since we ate already before, but the food looked really good and clean compared to other street food.

We had a terrific evening on a Sunday night that was unrivalled from the number of stalls and the variety on offer, as well as the ability to barter with the locals and grab a bargain.
Our kids enjoyed it with anything from Lego to Minions, DVDs to food to munch on and re-energise for a long night of shopping.
It is very crowded but these markets were still a lot of fun and it was cool to just wander up aisle after aisle and chat to the local vendors and see what they had to sell.
We bought headphones, sports t-shirts, watches, jewellery and lots of souvenirs. There was a huge array of food from traditional fare to donuts and fresh juices and fruits.
After a few hours we were done but if you have the stamina there's a lot to see. The bus-ride in and out was also good fun and a chance to watch all the people, including a family of four on their scooter heading in to do their shopping.
Of all the markets in Thailand this is the one I would be coming back to first. Great time to be there, in the evening whereas many others get quite hot during the day.

Located on the outskirts of the city. Can be reach by taxi only. Market is very big but expensive. If you want to buy a t-shirt for your child they will start with 450 baht. The shopkeepers mainly refused to give discounts. One part of the market is fully devoted to food where you will find authentic thai and Chinese dishes. Another side is the section of clothing and souvenir. There are 17 rows in the market and you should keep time In hand to visit all them. The market opens at 4:00 pm but you should go at 4:30 because if you go early the shopkeepers would set up there shops and you have to wait. The market closes at 9:00pm and is open only on Saturday and Sunday.

We visited the night market in June on a Sunday. We were able to get a taxi there from our hotel in Patong beach for 500 baht and was about a 40 minute drive. The market was huge. So many stalls and great bargains. We definitely found it a lot cheaper than patong. If you were planning to go to the market I would hold off buying anything in patong as you will get it cheaper here! They have everything from bags, watches, shoes, t.v remotes, dvds and clothes. I did make the mistake of not shopping around first and I bought a pair of white converses at the first stall I saw. I got them for 750 baht which I was very happy with, however further in the market they were selling for 590. Shop around first as you really can get some good bargains. I found a watch that I really liked and it was 700 baht, however at another stall someone sold it to me for 150. There were plenty of food stalls to eat at, I did not eat but plenty of people did and I have heard it is good. A must do in Phuket.

We went on Saturday at opening time 4pm, The markets are huge with hundreds of stalls selling almost anything you can think of, I found it hard to barter unless buying bulk lots but prices are cheap enough, the draw card for me was the food section, again around 100 stalls selling mainly local food and seafood, you can walk around and buy nibbles as you go or sit down and have a full meal, we nibbled our way around and got to try many things and exploded when we finished, our driver was picking us up at 7.30pm and buy this time the place was packed and getting harder to get around, get in early as it's less mayhem, the markets are a must see, we caught the bus into Phuket Town and found a driver who took us to the market and then picked us up at 7.30pm and took us home, our driver cost 500 baht ($AU20) and we lived about 18km from the markets

Great market to experience. Real bustle and great crowds, plenty stalls and plenty bargains if you want to buy. Food is eye opening! But bring tissue paper and hand sanitizer as the toilets are a basic

This market has so much sitting under the one roof! From clothing, accessories and cosmetics to snacks & drinks, fruit and hot food, there is literally something for everyone here.

The market opens at 4PM but many stalls are already operating around 3.30 so it's a good head start for your shopping if you want to beat the rush. It's a quieter time for shopping but there's a reason for that; most people come later due to the heat and being an undercover market, it can get really hot and stuffy so it's good to carry a fan and some water.

Prices are generally pretty cheap with most things selling for around 100 to 200 Baht. While walking around I noticed that T-Shirts were usually 100-250 Baht, Shoes, Bags and Makeup were anywhere between 250 to 1500 Baht and Souvenirs would also range between 40 to 1000 Baht. Of course, the prices vary between sellers and depending on your haggling skills you can usually buy at a better price than they originally sell for. When it comes to negotiating a price with the seller, it's always better to be polite and friendly...I'd seen some tourists become frustrated because the seller didn't want to sell a 1000 Baht bag at their 200 Baht price, which is just rude and ridiculous! So don't be THAT person!

Another thing this market is great for is food and drinks! There's lots of hot snack stalls and many people selling cold smoothies/drinks; just be mindful that it can get quite smelly, especially around the durian!

Overall this market was a great way to get in the last of our shopping, especially with everything at a good price.

Read so many articles on this place, but never expected so much noise, smells and sights. The market is open from 4 - 9pm Fri - Sunday
We went on the Sunday night about 6pm and the market was in full flow. It is separated as two with food and drink one side and everything else under the sun on the other side. There are bargains to be had if you haggle hard, but some stalls will not move from the price they want. The majority of items sold are copies, albeit very good copies. One tip is to keep small amounts of money in you purse or wallet so they can see that you have, not got much money.
It does get very hot in the market so take plenty of fluids.

This is one of my favourite market! It's so huge and you won't go hungry leaving this place. So many food and things to buy! Don't forget to come by here if you're in phuket. Open only on Saturday and Sunday. You will love this place! It's a shopping heaven. If you don't have enough Thai baht, they have money exchange over there.
