Easy booking for a snorkel trip to Phi Phi, they pick you up from hotel, transfer to main boat via longtail, and provide all the gear. Its a full day trip, costing about $75 USD. Lunch, drinks, and snacks are provided. The trip itself is nice, and you get to do some shopping in phi phi for about an hour. Great snorkel spots!!! I only took off a star because the crew wasn't very social, would have been nice to know some history or info about the spots/islands we passed.

I recently booked a liveaboard trip on MQ1 through Kon-Tiki and I must say that they experience was amazing! Mikael was very helpful in arranging the trip for me, and answered all my questions. The dive trip itself was an unforgettable experience as the liveaboard was very well run, and the dive and boat crew were incredibly fun to hang out with and to go diving with. They made sure that the equipment functioned well, and that the dives were properly planned. I will most certainly book my next liveaboard through Kon Tiki. Cheers, Senthil.

After booking this trip with Kon-Tiki and paying via PayPal, I arrived at my hotel reception to wait for my driver... and waited... and waited... for 50 minutes. Michael was very nice when I got ahold of him and tried to sort it out, but fortunately the driver showed up 20 minutes later so I just left. Part of the reason for this breakdown in communication between the driver, the company and me probably had something to do with the fact that Kon-Tiki wasn't actually running my snorkeling trip but just sold me a seat on a SeaStar excursion. As for the excursion itself -- pretty amazing that there isn't more chaos and more problems with these tours, given the huge number of tourist boats run out of this operation. But expect a certain amount of just going with it -- very few native English speakers and so much depends upon the rest of your group -- our boat had 27 passengers after dropping 8 people off who were spending the night on the islands. A couple of people who had sat up front on the way to the islands refused to give up their spots on the way back to those of us who had already suffered an hour and a half of the three (very loud) engines. Bring ear plugs. Bring sun screen. I was impressed they had an efficient system to match us up with shuttles to our respective hotels or airport. No hassles with that. The stops themselves were fairly brief -- maybe 30-45 minutes of snorkeling twice, lunch was edible but not great, and at the end of the day was a stop at a beach/climb to Sail Rock. Lots of cold water and soda, nice fresh fruit in the afternoon. Snorkeling was okay, not great, but we saw several varieties of fish. The water and beaches truly are stunning, though. Just expect to be part of a huge herd of tourists. For one day, it was fine although given the price tag, I must admit, I expected better.

I went to Phuket in January of 2014 and took an open water course from Kon-Tiki. I was very pleased with my instructor, the office staff and the other instructors I met. I am 61 and needed some extra help carry gear to and from the water on my beach dives. My instructor said no problem he would carry mine for me. What a great experience to learn in this kind of environment. I am going back this coming January and have booked the advanced open water course and a live aboard cruise through Kon-Tiki. Every thing was very easy and payment made through Paypal which was very convenient for me. They get my recommendation as a professional and well run organization.
