This chateau is run by the descendants. They organise special events for children during the holidays, escape games and an "investigation" to find the queen's talisman in the dark either in the park or the chateau ( with torches!) All the " actors" were friendly and helpful.
You can visit this chateau most weekends and enjoy a picnic in the park

Beauty and the beast for halloween. A great idea, a great moment. Special mention for Belle’s sister, a great acting performance: well done miss! . The children are delighted. Small downsides for adults who expected a little more decoration. Looking forward to coming back for Christmas and having a nice mom. THANKS !!!! .

We did the Little Red Riding Hood outing with our grandchildren, 5 and 2 years old.
Nice but too bad there isn't even a candy at the end for the little ones

We traveled from Vienna on purpose to visit it. Leaflet taken from the tourist office! Open from Easter to All Saints' Day, school holidays, every day except Monday. It's October 24 and no, it's only open for children's outdoor courses! Really not serious!

The construction of this castle began around 8 centuries ago. It then passed through various hands. Under the Empire, the building belonged to the Count of Albon. He was mayor of Lyon. His descendants, the Kergorlay family, embarked on the restoration to make it a superb property. It is currently open to the public. Less than an hour from Lyon, this is a very nice visit to make, especially if you have children or grandchildren. The guided (and disguised) tours are very interesting and even fun...

Beautiful, very well preserved monument. The discovery of the different pieces is very interesting even if the guide can sometimes tense and/or stress visitors with her crazy flights of fancy and her obsession with ropes not to touch.

Superb afternoon visiting the Château de Septème sheltered by its walls, far from the heat. The activities are particularly suitable for young children. The young guides are friendly and keen to make us have a good time by sharing many anecdotes with us.

Superb castle with a very interesting guide.
We learn a lot about life in the Middle Ages.
Visit to several furnished rooms, the weapons room with comments on the use of weapons, the kitchen with prepared dishes.
Real demonstration of a catapult with projection of a ball.
Magnificent park with free breads.

Superb castle in its original state in an incredibly well preserved state over all its centuries, the inhabitants having refused to have their castle sacked during the revolution!
An aperitif in a place like this is a great idea.
Very friendly welcome by the owner, well done to the young extras who show you around the castle in period costume and who are very involved in their roles!!
The meal boards and wines are of very good quality!
Truly flawless!!
If I may, standing meals in the garden would have added to the conviviality of the moment, (just an idea)
A very nice evening spent here.
See you soon for another visit!
