Quality British wool jumpers and briliant service
Oct 2020
What a selection of wool jumpers - Bristish wool and beautifully hand crafted. I bought a jumper from this shop 14 years ago and it has been superb. Their jumpers are quality, last, keep you warm and most importantly protect the environment. If you want to do your bit for local clothing manufacturers and the environment buy your jumpers from here. We bought 2 jumpers and a woolen flat cap today. A great service too.

Our annual visit
Sep 2020 • Couples
We come here every year around this time for some great quality locally made items. As per usual we succumbed to a few purchases. The quality is great and the prices reasonable.

Does what it says on the tin.
Aug 2020 • Couples
This is a very nice shop. It stocks a very good range of quality knitwear. Hard to say anything else other than it does what it says on the tin - and does it rather well.

Good Shop
Oct 2019 • Couples
This is a must visit for us when in the area, a small but very good woollen shop. Over the years, we have bought quite a number of garments, not the cheapest but well made and distinctive. Do drop in, even if it’s just for a browse.

Always find something to buy
Oct 2019 • Couples
This place sells mostly locally knitted items although I noticed a few machine made pieces. Much of the wool is Wensleydale and Swaledale. They also do very nice caps for men and women as well as scarves and other things. My wife succumbed to a cardigan this time. Prices are fair when looking at the cost of wool and time to hand knit.

GOOD QUALITY PRODUCTS
Jun 2019 • Couples
This is a very nice shop selling quality woollen products made from local wool.
The prices are not bad, though at first may seem expensive, for the same product in a larger town store you could be be paying 3 possibly 4 times as much maybe more if it was from a store in London or other city. The lady there was very helpful and nothing was to much problem,

Woolly wonders
Sep 2018 • Friends
The knitted garments in this shop are beautifully made by hand with intricate patterns. They are made from quality yarns. The cost in materials and time justify the prices, but they are outside my budget. Good to look at though.

Pity they don't sell patterns
Jul 2018 • Friends
Lovely sweaters and accessories, appropriately priced and well labelled, giving you the knitters name, and differentiating between hand and machine knit. Why don't they sell patterns though - that would appeal to people like me who are keen knitters, so would never buy a sweater, but might buy several patterns. It's a different market

A lovely shop selling locally knitted goods
Mar 2018 • Couples
My wife and I have been coming here for years and have always loved the locally knitted items made from locally sourced wool. Today I bought some beautiful sheepskin gloves made near Skipton.

High quality
Nov 2017 • Couples
Looking for hand knitted, beautiful clothes? You'll be spoilt for choice in this shop. Sweaters, cardigans, hats, etc have been made by ladies of Swaledale from wool of local sheep. The quality is second to none. Colours and styles to suit all tastes. It is not cheap but when you think how long it takes to knit a sweater for example, it actually becomes good value for money.
