The place is a flood control area turned into a park, so it is very boggy off the paths after rains. Paths can be smooth or a little rough and are shared with families, dogs and bikes. Space is limited and people good natured because they all share the same space without hassle. If easily annoyed, stay away. There is... More

we regularly visit the park, either to walk around the lakes or to cycle on children friendly, traffic free paths. We also try out water activities in the summer - both my husband and daughter took courses to learn how to sail. and we have spent many afternoons watching jet skis perform and dog shows taking place. Café serves good... More

A very clean and well looked after country park with loads to do for the entire family. The facilities are excellent and it is very difficult to get bored. My daughter can't get enough of it and I love it for the cycling opportunities. It's a cheap and nice day out.

Yes the parking is pricey (advertised as £5 but we paid £4 arriving after 2pm) but then the carparks and park was reasonably full on a cold Sunday in February so that suggests its not doing anything massively wrong. Perfectly acceptable for a gentle winter amble on good quality paths and facilities and the chance of a warm drink at... More

£5 to enter the park... ouch! So had we come in two cars that would be £10, 3 = £15 etc... etc... oh dear!!!! Not a good start! We attended the park for a pleasant Sunday afternoon walk with two children, having paid to park and realising most of the facilities / activities were closed for winter we attended the... More

Great place. Fun for all ages, nice and flat for biking. You also have wake boarding, boating, bike hire and lots of hosted events. The cafe at the mill offers a nice selection of food too, unfortunately there's no WiFi there which is a bit of a let down as cellular data is poor at the park, at least on... More

Cycle path around the lake, although this can be busy with walkers on a fine day. Cycle trails nearby. Good bar/cafe alongside the lake where there is a ski/boarding area, interesting to watch. Good picnic areas.

Great for walking around the 2 lakes there, plenty of natural history by way of birds, geese and ducks to view and feed in front of Cafe car-park. Cafe has good food, a nice mug of tea and seed for birds to buy. Service is very good and theres plenty of seats and tables both inside and outside cafe, to... More

Worst Restaurant Ever the service was shocking as thought they really were forced to serve us. Food was awful thrown onto the plate with the attitude of take it or leave it. They have the monopoly here so seem to do what they want with a school Ma'am attitude. My wife from Asia was shocked at the food and service.

It's been a while since we went so a little surprised to be charged £5 to enter irrespective of what we were to do. It looking good however as it's matured and we used the 3 and 4 wheel bikes for an hour, great fun. The restaurant was another matter however. It was a cold day with a lot of... More
