The streets of Iznajarsk are very steep and narrow. And there are very few parking places close to the Castillo. Most streets are one-way streets, but not all: Suddenly someone is just in front of you coming in the opposite direction. There could be some...More

The castle at the top of Iznahar was very interesting and only €2 to get in. There's a 10 minute video explaining the history of the castle, Iznahar and the surrounding area.

Well worth the small cost, I think it's about 2euro. We couldn't find opening times anywhere but if you email the tourist office they will give them to you. In July 2018 they were 10am, 11.30am and 1pm Monday to Saturday. The girl who runs...More

Go to tourist information to see when its open. Its worth a slow wander around. The views are terrific, and full of history. Dont rush it.

Iznajar is by no means a picture perfect village but it comes very close. Situated on a steep hill lies Castillo de Iznajar. It’s not big nor is it imposing - but it’s a fascinating little place. There is a small church at the top...More

We stayed just outside the town in a lovely villa with views of Iznajar town and lake. The lakeside beach is fabulous. The town is nice - small but surprisingly well serviced and busy. Miss Tourist Information was more interested in typing on her laptop...More

You see it from the road. It is perched on the top. Drive up there or walk. parking is easy even if the car wheezes a little getting up there. Great views and not too far to walk to get a well earned drink

I agree totally with the other two answers. I have pushed my partner in a wheelchair around Iznajar. But it is hard work, even for a reasonably strong chap (me!).
