Everything about our trip was perfect. Our guide, Adrian, was kind, organized, and professional. We paddled down the river and watched the sun set over Chenonceau - a truly wonderful time with great company!

Amazing experience with exceptional service. We were the only boat on the water that night and it was magical. A highlight of our trip to France. Adrian went the extra kilometer and gave us a white-glove service. Made special arrangments for us and showed up even though we were the only ones booked for that night. Stayed at the dock for 2 hours while we paddled so we could come back to the doc on our schedule. True pro at what he does. He even gave us eating recommendation as if you do a sunset paddle you will miss the opening hours of all of the local restaurants (odd thing about this part of France). Just realize the tradeoff of having the water to yourself means you need to plan your dinner well in advance or eat at McDonalds after like we did (the only place open for 20km).

We did the 18km canoe trip on the Cher on our recent trip to the Loire Valley. My wife and I arrived about 20 minutes before the afternoon departure to discover that we were the only ones renting canoes that day. We were quickly outfitted for our trip with a canoe, life jackets, and a waterproof barrel to store our valuables, and we were taken to the departure point. The trip itself was amazing and peaceful. It was the perfect antidote to the all of the crowds that we encountered on this visit. We had nearly 4 hours alone enjoying the scenery and the gorgeous weather. One word of warning--you may want to consider using the facilities before you arrive. There is a water closet in the shed where they outfit you for the ride; but it is a squat toilet.
