We came here on our last day on the Amalfi coast to escape the heat. It was not worth it. Maybe Atrani would be better. There is a long set up stairs leading down to the beach. Both sides of the beach have public access which is not a lot. Everyone is on top of each other. The beach club obviously has the middle and wants 45 euro for 2 chairs and an umbrella. The beach is covered in black rocks which makes for a hot walk. If you have kids, the swimming area is very small before the sand drops off into the deep. Not a big deal, just something to plan for. I would look at the beaches elsewhere if in the area looking for a beach.

I don't really want to tell you about this place because it feels like a well kept secret, but it's the jewel of the Amalfi Coast. Unless you like the sweaty throng and souvenir shops of Amalfi and Positano, or the soulless beach front hotels of Minori and Maiori, this is the place where the true beauty of the region reigns. Authentic, not overrun with tourists, excellent beach bar with loungers for €25 for the day and the sea is just heavenly. Now forget you read any of this.

The main beaches at Atrani and Amalfi especially are often unpleasantly crowded. However, a few minutes walk from Atrani towards Ravello is the Castiglione beach. You need to climb down some steep stairs to get there, and this with the the fact that there is almost no signage probably keeps the hordes away. You can hire the umbrella/recliner package or bask on the "free" beach. There are showers available to rinse off afterwards.

Such a beautiful beach and wasn’t packed with people. Nicest beach I’ve found in Amalfi so far. Wouldn’t recommend if you have any health issues because there are a lot of steps. However the cafe down on the beach is amazing. Such friendly and helpful staff, plus the food and drinks were great compared to other restaurants in Amalfi. Highly recommend

This beach is quite nice as it's one of the least crowded beach of Amalfi coast.
And it's half public beach. With black sand and pebbles. It's sunny until a bit after noon, but that's OK as the high cliffs surrounding it provide shade for those who want it.
You have to go down around 50 stairs.

Interesting beach. You would pass without knowing. If you want sun after about 4pm this is not the place for you.

I have been visiting Ravello for 13 years and only just discovered this most special and beautiful beach Lido di Ravello. It is well worth the walk down the many steps - very doable for all ages. The beach is intimate - pristine - paradise actually. My family and I rented chairs daily from the beach club - impeccably managed by Sarah and Lorenzo. Lido di Ravello is a must for anyone visiting the Amalfi Coast!

My wife and I just came home from Italy, our last day was spent on this amazing beach just down about 100 steps from the hwy from Ravello. The beach chairs and umbrella service is fantastic and the food and drink service is great. This is an amazing place with wonderful views and quiet secluded beach. Needing a break from the wonderful culture of Ravello and a escape from the heat and humidity of this breathtaking coast of Amalfi, check out Lido di Ravello

Great beach with view on the beautiful town of Atrani! Good local food (try caprese salad) and cocktails.
Kayak renting available, a good way to explore the coast. I recommend warmly!
