This was my first bus trip in Argentina and luckily I have not had another experience as terrible as this one. This is the first bad review I have posted while travelling but I think other travellers need warned. The bus was over one hour late to pick up in Buenos Aries. It was then SEVEN hours late to arrive in Puerto Iguazu - 7am turned into 2pm and a day wasted. There are much better bus companies in Argentina - don’t use them.

I took the Singer express bus from Concordia to Puerto Iguazu this month. I have used many night buses over the years, but this was literally the worst experience of my life.
First of all the reservation on the homepage would not go through - they took my payment, but sent me no booking confirmation. I was in Uruguay that time and was unable to reach any number provided by Singer on their joke of a homepage. I asked the counter staff in Concordia, but they were very rude and unwilling to help.

The trip itself.. first of all, bus was 2 hours late (well, it happens). When I entered, the smell was breathtaking. The bus already had 10 hours from Buenos Aires to Concordia, and the toilet was broken - it was overflowing and filled the bus with beastly stank. The staff did not fix it - instead they just kept on driving! Over the night, the toilet flooded and the entire ground floor was covered with pee, paper and excrements. THE BUS DID NOT STOP TO FIX THIS.
On one bathroom stop, the bus pulled out leaving a lady behind- in the middle of the night at a roadside!. Only after passengers yelled and banged on the drivers door, they stopped. The lady had to run after the bus. Not even a sorry or any sort of acknowledgement from the conductor, who stayed in the drivers cabin and ignored complaints about the toilet.
At 4 am we pulled into a Singer depot and I hoped they would change the bus - nope. They took a dry broom (!) and scraped out the feces and the water.. and kept on driving. We arrived with 3 1/3 hours delay in Iguazu.

To sum it up - things do happen. But the companys unwillignness and incapability to deal with it was a very poor show.

I took a Singer Express bus from Posades to Córdoba and was thoroughly unimpressed. Even though the bar is set very low in Argentina, Singer stood out.
To start with the driver / ticket checker insisted I pay an extra A$ 50 for my bags to be loaded. My bags were considerably smaller than many of the locals who all gave a voluntary 5 or 10 peso tip - some gave nothing but was told I had no choice.
Once we got going the volume of the film being screened oscillated between being way to loud and totally silent and then half way through was stopped and the same experience began with another film.
We received no blankets and it was freezing.
The "meal" was a joke - stale bread and a muffin the size of a peanut .
All this for a mere $1045 (semi-cama) , next time I'll definitely use Flecha Bus - marginally better, at least they have blankets, fairly sustaining meals and mostly honest staff.

This company has very nice photos of the buses and service, but the four times I used the service they were really dirty and you couldn´t see the number of the seats.

Took the Singer Express long distance bus from Puerto Iguazu to Buenos AIres (Retiro). We left at 14:50 and arrived at 09:30 the next day - 40 min late. For most of the route, we followed parallel to the Rio Parana. We sought the Cama seats (reclining 135 degrees) and paid a little more (Arg $ 1048). There were 4 double seats (8) and 4 single seats in the bottom level (our level). On this level was the bathroom and drink station. There were 3 bus drivers who interchanged frequently. We had a 30 min stop at a military/government check point where papers were exchanged, an hour into our trip. We passed by the towns of Eldorado, Posados, Federal, Zarate, Campana and Escobar. Drivers passed blankets and served a hot dinner at 10. Sodas, water and coffee were available on the bus at all times. Lights were dimmed between towns but watch your possessions. The bathroom was unusable on this occasion towards the end of the trip...
