Bobbitts Hole is amazing, surrounded by wildlife and all things green, really enjoyed it. The people who run this place are lovely, full of information and gave us a quiz to do, outstanding place for children and adults. Take a picnic well worth it

This is a small nature reserve of roughly 2 acres with a lovely lake with ducks. It has a really cute little wooden walkway over a raised reed bed and lots of seating to relax and read a book or just watch the bees in the beehive. It is full of wildlife, trees, shrubs and bushes.

It is used by local groups and schools for educational purposes and opens to the public every Sunday between 10am – 12 and is run by volunteers.

It’s not too difficult to find, you can access the reserve from the Main Road, Dovercourt via the main car park off the Asda supermarket. Parking is free. The reserve is to the left of Asda and is signposted and has hidden gate to the reserve. The reserve is free entry, but there is a donation box.

We love this peaceful little sanctuary tucked away in a town, you'd never know it was there and you feel a million miles away from town when there due to the peace and quiet. We've been on open days which have been ideal for entertaining children as there are trails for them to follow with things to find and tick off. We've picked some lovely blackberries here which we made lovely jam with. Easy to access with free parking at Asda. Excellent for a family stroll, spotting wildlife in its natural surroundings and it's all free!

Have yet to find anything useful to say about this "sight". Situated next to Asda's superstore it looks like a filled in quarry. Gives a dilapidated and neglected appearance and looks generally poorly maintained. To be avoided!

I went to Bobbits hole one Sunday 10am till noon and I was amazed at the wildlife I saw there. Bobbies hole is a lovely large green area with ponds, animal houses and much more. If you are there at 11:30am there is usually a Kingfisher. I am just amazed at what you will discover at Bobbits hole. I think that they could be opened for longer.
Admission prices: FREE FOR EVERYONE.

We love Bobbits Hole. Nature at its best . Lovely to have a wander around and feel as though you are in the middle of nowhere.
Easy to park, very close to town.

Our 2 year old loves the ducks!
