Once a formal garden built for Peter the Great, this popular park still has more than 80 of the original marble statues and sculptures and houses Peter's Summer Palace, a simply designed two-story building that now displays many of the ruler's own artifacts.

We visited on a beautiful day and the gardens and fountains are wonderful. It can get very busy especially if there a large number of cruise ships in town. It is wheelchair accessible

Great palace with lovely grounds and views over the bay of Finland, we visited early morning , there were a lot of cruise passengers also visiting at this time, maybe afternoons would be quieter and less busy

Really enjoyed touring the rooms of the Summer Palace ... a lot to see and then we spent time in the gardens. As a guided group we also had access to the rooms under the cascades and could see the feat of civil engineering that...More

If you are going to St Petersburg, go to Peterhof! And take the boat at least one way. You will need a full day here. The palace itself is massive and chock full of amazing art. The tour is somewhat of a cattle call. Very...More

Set at the outer edge of St Petersburg, the trip to the palace gave us an opportunity to better understand some of the dynamics of Russia’s last century , especially WW 1& 2 , and the Russian Revolution. Incredibly opulent , the palace water garden...More
