Beautiful gallery, but quite small and does not take a long time to skim through. My most favourite part was the Patricia Piccini exhibition (was on until September) - so moving, interesting and somehow horrifying. The outside of the museum is beautiful as well and...More

The restaurant at Arken has happily advertised with a picture of a dead shark they put on the menu. The shark is a bi-product if their normal fishing, and they decided to take advantage. The shark is classified as “vulnerable” on IUCNs list of endangered...More

Small but beautifully curated gallery. The Damien Hirst stuff is fab of course, and their regular collection is excellent, but the Patricia Piccinini exhibiiton is astonishing - so moving and interesting. On until Sept I believe - do go!

Walking from the train station to the museum is worth the journey itself! A very unpretentious building but certainly attractive. Built like a ship and features amazing artwork by Damien Hirst, Ai WeiWei amongst many others and the special exhibition by Patricia Piccinnini is a...More

An interesting building holding a relatively small but high quality collection of contemporary art. The permanent collection alone is probably not enough to warrant a visit, but I visited to see a specific exhibition (Patricia Piccinini) which was easily worth the visit. The gallery is...More

We cycled from Copenhagen to Arkens museum of modern art. The ride was wonderful and the museum, although small, was fantastic. Fabulous work by Hirst and extraordinary exhibition by Patricia Piccinini - a one off. The visit was worth it for this exhibition alone. Had...More

The location of this art museum is great! About 15-20 km out of Copenhagen, seaside, easy to go even by bicycle and fresh your mind, leave the noisy town. The surrounding is peaceful, building looks modest although it is fine and functional. I suggest a...More

The museum hosted a dinner for our group of 500 people. There are not many locations that can comfortably accommodate that many people. The museum building is quite interesting. The most memorable exhibit was by Patricia Piccinini. Her pieces seemed to evoke a reaction from...More

The museum was very quickly overlooked it had few pieces of art and not really a story to most of it. The Van Gogh exhibition was fine, but also rather small and there was a lot of people. The museum itself (the building) is interesting...More
